Why does it need to be law for someone to do something? Why does it need to be law for someone to do something?

Majority of this subforum seems to be leftist that agree with socialist policies correct?

Most of this subforum seem to be successful white people correct?

So why do you need it to be law before you give away your money?

How come so many religious groups can set up charities that help poor people but you can't?

In addition to this if you think systematic racism exists then shouldn't you as a white person being apart of the system help black people too? How much money have you given in reparations?

I saw the principles thread and started laughing because so many of you think having the belief is enough...yet act in a way that goes against these principles every single day..

If all Democrats gave away every single dollar they earned after 80k wouldn't that solve all the problems most people face right? Health care , racism , homelessness, etc

...and that Democrats don't give away every single dollar they earn after $80k, proves they don't actually believe in helping people, right?

LOL, imagine being a right-winger and thinking this was a smart argument worth making a thread about

Probably something about ensuring that the charitable institution or association that has been set up has the right framework in place that it can be trusted and is accountable for the dollars it receives given the scams that are out there. A government is going to look real hard at any new charitable bodies if there are already reputable bodies in that space and look beyond as to who is setting it up for that trust and accountability aspect.

Yes

Why does it take the law for you do act out your beliefs?

If you believe medicare for all is great then why can't you do it now?

At the end of the day beliefs are just that...just a bunch of hot air

You and the right winger can believe in different things but if you both act the same under the law then what's the difference between you?

I'm not trolling

This is an honest question

What is the difference between you and the person that disagrees with you if you both don't change your behavior until it's enacted into law?

It's all well and good to believe everyone should have a roof under their head and food under their table but if you never donate then what good is that belief?

Did AOC endorse Bernie or not?

She did and Swoop posted as such. All he did was try to explain her intention that he doesn't know.

And I'm the badfaith poster? please give me a break

anyways that's a different thread

it's funny because I would be considered left leaning a few years ago

and this isn't something that is directed at only libs even if my post was as such

it's directed at everyone who holds a "belief" but doesn't act it out

It's like moderate muslims. They believe in the Quran which states such things as no sex before marriage or no drinking alcohol etc yet they still do those things. If you actually BELIEVED that you would go to hell for not following the Quran which you believe is true doesn't that make you ****ing stupid for not following it?

Why the **** would you go against a book that you believe to be true if the end result was an eternity of torture?

If I believed everything in a book I would 100% follow everything it says to the TEE. That's also why I respect extremists more than moderates. At least extremists stay true to their principles.
