The US gained its independence from Britain and they are now and have been the strongest ally of the US. The US fought against Japan, Germany, Italy and those countries are all allies. If you want to be miserable and find the negative in every single thing then that is really too bad. Or you can be positive and remember all the good things that have happened to you because you born in America. Even with all of its faults and of those that live here.
My comment was simply regarding the willingness of people to be controlled to the degree they are by random events.
