As would I. I'm not sure traditional wings of the animal kingdom would be able to generate sufficient lift to get an elephant off the ground, so any wings would likely be decorative. Still, what I know about evolutionary theory would almost certainly exclude the possibility of an animal as large as an elephant having useless dangly bits like wings for predators to grab on to, so purely decorative wings are also out of the question. Then again, as you've pointed out, I'm also not ruling out the possibility that a robe-wearing bearded white guy in the sky brought an entire universe into existence with the snap of his fingers, so anything's possible I guess, right?
