Gender Dysphoria and Professional Sports Gender Dysphoria and Professional Sports

Now that there is distinction of terms etc we can ask specifically, and I think its a nuanced discussion...should we be bending professional sports to accommodate people with gender dysphoria, which is DIFFERENT question of bending it for trans people in general.

These people have mental disorders that, for example, make them want social reassurance. Is it the duty of sports to bend their rules to these people that have such mental disorders.

And it is my belief that **** disturbing leftist *******s do NOT want this nuanced question brought up in community dialogues around the internet.

We want to ask this because if the answer is no, we want to see if there are other reasons left, and what are they that would validate cross-competition in professional sports etc. Was the justification a semantics trick based on lumping together trans and gender dysphoria?

Money will drive the decision making process in professional sports.

Start an amateur sports thread it'll be better.

Ya, its implicitly on topic in this thread tho. Certainly amateur sports can allow for exceptions for mental illness. Recreational sports. And this wouldn't lend to the idea it would be important or acceptable in professional sports

What is the point of this thread? We have one already for transgender participation in sports. You're making a distinction that you would like a discussion about people who are gender dysphoric in sports, but I've never heard of such a thing as someone who is not transgender but is gender dysphoric, seeking some special accommodation in sports. Unless you're meaning gender dysphoric as a subset of transgender people, in which case I don't really understand where you're going with this. Transgender people can be accommodated in sports, but not if they're gender dysphoric?

Wherever you're going with this, I'm struggling to see why we need yet another thread on this topic, which is slowly taking over the forum.

The people who tell conservatives what to think have told them that shitting on transgender people is extremely important, and they’re not going to voluntarily stop posting about it.

Because we weren't able to distinguish before between transgenders with dysphoria versus those that are just making a decision. Now its hard coded in the rules. So before if you had to make exceptions for dysphoria then you also had to make exceptions for anyone that claimed to be trans.

I think that lead to some invalid logic. So the question if someone is gender dysphoric is that a reason to allow them to cross-play in pro sports?

I'm totally lost here. What is now hard coded in what rules? What change has happened in the world that's allowing you to make some new distinction?

We have decided that 2p2 pands sub upholds that not all trans have dysphoria. in the past in many dialogues here and elsewhere online, these groups have been lumped together. I'd like to understand peoples views when the distinction is clear.

I think for some people tho that will make them uncomfortable so they will try and change/avoid the subject.

Then you are ok for some sports and some age levels. Perfect! Makes sense.

I'm closing this thread. Whether a transgender person is depressed or debilitated enough to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria has nothing to do with their participation in sports. We have a thread for that.
