Not long ago the US led the world in epidemiology work. They weren't alone, but US efforts and leadership have saved an enormous amount of lives and kept both the US and many other countries far safer. It was a respected voice of reason in the 2003 SARS outbreak, in Ebola work and in the MERS outbreak.

And now you have this travesty of an administration, which can't be bothered with expert opinion because it has made being unprepared, arbitrary, lazy and incompetent into an art-form. It couldn't even be bothered to chair its position at the WHO. And after these idiotic errors, there was no admittance of fault and only a half-hearted correction of course, because admitting error would look bad.

And to add insult to injury, it has adopted the very trends it once fought in such work: Authoritarianism, lying about numbers, doing cover-ups, shifting blame and eroding trust in medical authority.

I get what your saying but I've grown tired of this thread and forum recently, as it's been pretty much trash content and attacks only about the other side (whoever that be).

Joe and Trump both have the same level of understanding on free speech.

They think private business controlling what is said on their platform is stifling free speech, but when the President threatened to shut down twitter or any other social media platform today, it is not stifling free speech, nor in direct violation of the constitution.

It is always funny when Donald Trump doubles down the day after Joe Trump worthlessly tries to stick up for him.

A doctor understands medicine and has to make decisions with incomplete information whereas science needs more certainty. It's an unknown virus, making no decisions until scientific proof is not the correct survival strategy during a crisis, and NoEvidence doesn't discredit the theories and positive speculation behind it's efficacy. Healthcare workers around the world are using it and it has nothing to do with Trump.

There has been some intriguing speculation that since Hannity talks to President Trump regularly, that the president informed him of something related to the virus that is not publicly known that frightened Hannity.
