The left getting their panties in a bunch over Trump pulling out of a conflict is amusing. "But the kurds!"

Trump quote from his capture speech:

Quote:
the kurds have worked along incredibly well with us but in all fairness it was much easier dealing with the kurds after they went through 3 days of fighting , because that was a brutal 3 days!
amazing!

Hey man, if your dictator buddy wants you to get out of the way so that he can do a little light genocide of the folks who provided the intel for killing Baghdadi in exchange for you getting a building, you just gotta do it.

"Left vs right" is often disingenuous at the best of times, but in this instance it makes almost zero sense since criticism has been fairly independent of party lines.

The US operation in Syria was a strong candidate for the most successful anti-terror operation in modern times, and this for the cost of running an intelligence and logistics operations + air-cover for local boots on the ground.

But by pulling the plug before completion and in such an abrupt and completely unplanned manner, there is a strong likelihood that almost all gains from the operation will now be lost. We know the decision was abrupt and unplanned due to reports on how it was made and also by watching the disarray of the US evacuation.

In addition we have strong grounds to assume the decision was not based on competent assessment. The president is reported to hardly read intelligence reports, from public records we know he spends an undue amount of time on private matters and the last years have shown he is he is barely able to express himself coherently in a manner you would expect from an average adult. We certainly know we can't trust the president's own opinions about his expertise, as he is a known liar who repeatedly contradicts himself.

What is the difference between USA and looting barbarians?
Trump says USA is protecting the oil, should get some of it, etc...
Curious about what people think of this, this isn't exactly new attitude but what is new is that is not hidden anymore.
Basically USA is bullying every other country and taking what it wants by any means.

The narrative coming out now is the pentagon and CIA came up with the oil bit ploy to trick Trump into leaving assets there. Syria is not a huge oil producing country relative to others or the US. Plus the Russians have moved in to take control of a large portion of Syrian oil.

While traditionally the use of securing oil has been used to convince people of military actions, in this case it was playing to an audience of one.

So basically Trump threw away his promise to bring the soldiers home for a pittance of perceived oil.

This is Trump on his best behavior before a primary election. Imagine what four more years will be like when he doesn't have to worry about being re-elected.

The **** this guy gets away with. We have all become desensitized.

Are you referring to him putting candy on a child's head or the fact that he is giving away full sized candy bars for Halloween? I'm ok w/ the prank, but giving away full sized candy bars on Halloween is ludicrous... when I was a kid you had to work your tail off to get enough candy to equal the market price of the 2 full size ones GOATrump and GOATlady are handing out.

In all seriousness, how easily triggered are you if you get all upset and scared of 4 more years of trump because he put a candybar on top of a kid's costume?

Yes. I am outraged at the fact that he put a candy bar on a kids head.

Meanwhile in the real world:
Trump-Ukraine scandal
Trump pulls out of Syria
Trump tells russians, not congress, about al-Baghdadi raid
Trump staged photo op during the al-Baghdadi raid, was actually golfing

Were people booing Trump at the World Series? No, they were saying boo-urns, boooooo-urns.

You getting outraged over this might be funnier than trump putting candy on a kids head. The poor guy can't do one thing without someone being outraged over it. Proud to say that our president has handled scrutiny better and with more grace than any other person who has faced the same level of scrutiny in the history of the world.

This is easily the funniest thing a non-Reagan president has ever said or done.

You forgot about 184 "scandals" (by my count) that trump has been involved with over the last 3 months.

It doesn't concern you at all that your president is a drooling dementia addled freak who doesn't understand that halloween candy goes in a bag? Doesn't understand that a minion isn't real + can launch a world ending nuclear strike at any time. Those generally aren't 2 traits you want in the same person.

Doesn't Trump publicly post weekly, incoherent, and grammar and spelling error filled screeds lashing out at perceived political enemies?

PUT DOWN THE KOOL-AID.

GOATrump isn't a "drooling dementia addled freak" and he does understand holloween candy goes in the bag, that minion aren't real and the seriousness of a nuclear strike.

I am sorry to be the one to tell you this, but a lot of what you have heard over the last 4 years isn't true. You probably heard we will be/are closer to a nuclear war and a world war if/when trump becomes president, but the truth is that we are arguably safer than we have ever been as a country.

Wait, you don't know what Trump is doing on Twitter or you do know and you've cracked the code and know that Trump is just joshing on Twitter and is not, in fact, coming off as a narcissistic, addle minded, TMZ celebrity?

Yes, I think that is an accurate number. His strategy seems to be, let's cover up these scandals with more scandals. It's like a ponzi scheme of scandals, leveraging scandals with more scandals. Oprah would be jealous. You get a scandal, you get a scandal, everybody gets a scandaaaaaal!

The only GOATrump tweets I've read over the last 4 years were because they were posted ITT, the shaq thread or CNN.
