Oh BTW I finally discovered why the statute of limitations doesn't apply to the hush money case.

Alleged first actions related to the alleged crimes happened Feb 14th 2017.

Indictment filed march 30 2023

But Cuomo had suspended accruing of statute of limitations state wide because of COVID for a total of 1 year and 47 days with EOs.

So for 3 days, the statute of limitations hadn't triggered yet.

I might be reading this wrong but all it takes for trump to eventually overturn on appeal is to prove he did something related to the criminal acts before Feb 11th 2017 which can plausibly put him into statute of limitations range

There's not really any deadline legislated anywhere. On January 6 the presidential electors are instructed to vote (separately) for President and VP; it would cause problems if the winning party hadn't chosen one by then. The parties' nominees are never really decided until the convention, and they aren't even required to select the Presidential candidate who won the majority of the delegates in the primaries. It would be a likely problem for the party if a VP nominee wasn't chosen by then, but it wouldn't have to be one hand-chosen by the presidential candidate.
