Only if both sides were equally willing to dishonestly manipulate.

The fact is that every single one of you who pretend to disagree with me, wish that the votes of people who were making decisions with no knowledge of the issues or no ability to foresee unintended consequences would be told that they were voting but secretly not have their votes counted for the good of the country. You usually say otherwise (but sometimes slip when deriding most Trump [or Biden] voters) but you would all think that it would be a good solution but say otherwise only because it obviously can't happen in real life.

I have no idea, but I was responding your suggestion that someone vote "no" on democracy.

Why are you assuming that there is widespread agreement with your assumption that most voters are dishonestly manipulated?

The 4 Colorado Supreme Court Justices have all very clearly, absolutely and undoubtably committed Treason against the United States by violating section 3 of the 14th amendment which states “no person shall hold any office, civil or military, under the United States who have previously taken an oath as an officer of the United States to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” by not allowing their citizens their constitutional right to vote and they will all be dealt with (and are being dealt with).

President Trump was neither convicted of or even charged with an insurrection. The protest at the Capitol was about asking our government (which we the people own) to take a closer look at the election fraud allegations before making their final decision. That was all. It wasn't about a man trying to take over the world like your puppet media has been trying to convey to y'all for 6 years.

Hang in there Patriots, the best is yet to come!

I'm talking about two plustwoers. How many of the posters think that those who voted for Trump partially because he said that Mexico would pay for a wall are not manipulated? (Not necessarily because they believed him but, in many cases, because they liked that he said it.) I'm surprised you think that two plus twoers don't realize that many votes would change in both directions (but more in one direction than another) if candidate's statements were restricted to stuff that isn't psychologically or factually deceptive.

Those voters weren’t manipulated. They want to stop immigration, Trump promised to stop immigration, they voted for him.

Voting no on democracy means anti democratic forces get to do want they want which are the right wing fringe elements that have become increasingly in charge of the Republican Party over the last 40 years.

David,

We don't get to choose between democracy and rule by an honest, beneficent, and omniscient deity. Are you suggesting deception and manipulation are greater features of democracies than they are of other types of governments? If so, what type of alternative government do you prefer?

Do you blame the republicans that filed the lawsuit? Or do you somehow blame democrats for this?

Trump as Bob Ross is a new meme. I'm not sure Trump is going to like that one.

I'm curious about the bolded. What are you hearing about how the Colorado justices will be "dealt with"? Are you expecting something more significant than the SCOTUS overturning the decision?

Even if you are correct, who cares? There is no practical way to disqualify candidates who lie or who engage in psychological manipulation (whatever that means in a political context).

Dave wants to disenfranchise dumb voters via literacy tests. He's been pushing this idea for years.

I absolutely do not wish that. I'd also say that's what just about everyone is like on most issues and it's nothing to do with expert manipulation.

We have a pretty fundamental disagreement here. I think they want to vote for someone who will say those sorts of things far more than they care about whether it's true or going to happen. A tragic mistake of those who oppose trump/etc/etc on so much is to be jerked around to this nonsense agenda with a ridiculous discussion about whether it's true. Trumps supports aren't being manipulated, they love the tune and love that the people that hate/percieve as hating them are so unhappy about it..

What is this babbling about truth. As if it were some holy grail to perfection and universal peace and prosperity on planet Earth.

Truth is an illusion. The Taoist figured this out thousands of years ago.

It was confirmed by Machiavelli.
