Every metric I've seen demonstrates there is still a massive amount of love from the Republican base to Donald Trump. I hope you're not an advocate of the "adults in the room" Inso0 theory (the same adults that threw Jeb Please Clap Bush into the Trump thresher last time).
The main reason is health.

Most people feel comfortable thinking there is little way that at age 82, Biden would be entering the 2024 campaign as they think that is too old and the job too taxing.

Trump would be 78 going into the 2024 campaign and his obesity is a far more limiting factor than the 4 years that separate him and Joe.

At those advanced ages obesity is going to be the biggest impact on length and quality of life (ability to be functional).

So as a betting man, if you had to bet on one or the other being healthy enough to run, Biden should be the pick, if you are not betting 'neither'.

The only thing that matters is whether Trump is healthy during campaign season. I don't think his potential supporters will give any weight to the concern that his health could deteriorate while he is in office.

With each passing month, the chances that Trump will be too unhealthy to be the nominee go down.

The real question in my mind is how much Trump fatigue there is among GOP voters. Among the diehard supporters, I'm sure the answer is "not much." Among highly educated, white collar GOP voters, especially women, I suspect that the answer is "quite a bit." I've never been certain how large the diehard contingent is.

I suspect also that the Trump opposition will be more disciplined than it was in 2016. It's hard to overstate how much Trump benefitted from the absurdly crowded GOP primary in 2016.

All things considered, I still think Trump has a better chance of being the GOP nominee in 2024 than anyone else.

Democrats still despise Trump. The corpse of Biden would still rally Democrats to go to the polls vs Trump.

By Alex GriffingJan 17th, 2022,

Just show how the republicans are always at war and see ennemies all around them .
Even among themselves as soon someone as a different opinion .

And they preach for freedom of speech and ideas .
As long it’s theirs I suppose .

Now that Child tax credit ends and inflation has made your groceries more expensive

As well Biden promised you a $15.00 minimum wage and a bunch of other things and delivered none

Sadly you work two jobs to feed your kids and do not have time to watch 24 hour news to hear how bad Trump is or How bad Biden is

So tell me who are you voting for

Trump
Hilary
Biden/Cheney ticket
Harris/Pete
i didnt say those people understood anything about actual politics or what actually is good for them.

i agree the establishment democrats have kneecapped any and all actual progress by pretending to be bipartisan while lining their own pockets with the same donor money that the conservatives take. i thoroughly believe they will lose elections for not getting anything done, but the answer certainly isn't moving to the center.

He's had these for over a year and now that he's
removed or changed anything incriminating, he gives them back?

Why Trump hiding classified docs at his sleaze palace could help Merrick Garland

Quote:
who knows what happened to those documents in the year’s time they were at Trump’s sleaze palace

Trump likely violated a law known as 18 U.S. Code 2071,
which prohibits the “concealment, removal or mutilation” of federal documents.
the crime is punishable by either a fine or three years in prison.
And — notably — offenders are barred from holding office in the future.

How many times are we going to hear he committed a crime which he has but you never charge him.

When is someone going to actually charge the man?

The DOJ one of these days is going to charge him. How can they not? Sure it's gonna cause a lot of mahem in the short run but I assume the DOJ plays the long game and will defend American Democracy
