I remember when the NRA coach guy was caught on video teaching various NRA chapters to reply to any tragic deaths that way.

Hmm. Yeah, now that you say this, I agree. You’re probably right.

That's a terrible thing to say - he absolutely would be upset. Very upset.

Spoiler:
About how the fake news media was blaming him.

He has zero empathy

He really should be charged with crimes against humanity for the way he has handled COVID-19

A lot of people were going to die of course but he made it much worse than it needed to be.

**** him

RBG was dead not 24 hours and his cultists were chanting ‘fill that seat’

This is a gaggle of people who wouldn’t bat an eye at naming Trump emperor for life and ethnic cleansing America tomorrow if they could

Trump needs to be in prison

Weird because the derposphere went nuts when some MAGA diners got yelled at after the post-election MAGA rally. I thought civility was paramount to them.

WaPo:
President Trump called the speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives twice during the past week to make an extraordinary request for help reversing his loss in the state, reflecting a broadening pressure campaign by the president and his allies to try to subvert the 2020 election result.

The calls, confirmed by House Speaker Bryan Cutler’s office, make Pennsylvania the third state where Trump has directly attempted to overturn a result since he lost the election to President-elect Joe Biden. He previously reached out to Republicans in Michigan, and on Saturday he pressured Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) in a call to try to replace that state’s electors.

The president’s outreach to Pennsylvania’s Republican House leader came after his campaign and its allies decisively lost numerous legal challenges in the state in both state and federal court. Trump has continued to press his baseless claims of widespread voting irregularities both publicly and privately.

“The president said, ‘I’m hearing about all these issues in Philadelphia, and these issues with your law,’ ” said Cutler spokesman Michael Straub, describing the House speaker’s two conversations with Trump. “ ‘What can we do to fix it?’ ”
What an utter disgrace.

The fact that this is being called populism I think really just portends the end for the USA ... the whole country is so lost it doesn't know a democracy from a corrupt kleptocracy/plutocracy. Reality is gone in the functioning of the country. The country is a reality show ... worse even.

No One Expects Civility From Republicans

"What’s worse: making Sarah Sanders leave a restaurant, or terrorizing election officials?"

Quote:
Perhaps you remember the terrible ordeal suffered by the White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the Red Hen in 2018. She was awaiting her entree at the Virginia farm-to-table restaurant when the co-owner, appalled by Sanders’s defense of Donald Trump’s administration, asked her to leave. This happened three days after the homeland security secretary at the time, Kirstjen Nielsen, was yelled at for the administration’s family separation policy as she tried to dine at a Mexican restaurant in Washington.

These two insults launched a thousand thumb-suckers about civility. More than one conservative writer warned liberals that the refusal to let Trump officials eat in peace could lead to Trump’s re-election. “The political question of the moment,” opined Daniel Henninger in The Wall Street Journal, is this: ‘Can the Democratic Party control its left?’”

Somehow, though, few are asking the same question of Republicans as Trump devotees terrorize election workers and state officials over the president’s relentless lies about voter fraud. Michigan’s secretary of state, Jocelyn Benson, described her family’s experience this past weekend: “As my 4-year-old son and I were finishing up decorating the house for Christmas on Saturday night, and he was about to sit down and to watch ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas,’ dozens of armed individuals stood outside my home shouting obscenities and chanting into bullhorns in the dark of night.”

So far, what happened to Benson doesn’t appear to be turning into a big cultural moment. There’s no frisson of the new about it; it’s pretty routine for Trumpists to threaten and intimidate people who work in both public health and election administration.

Here is the WH version. It looks like Trump was acting like somewhat of a normal human (obviously besides him spouting off about the rigged election).

Yeah, for him these days that was actually about as good as you can expect - he even brought the subject back around to Dan Gable after his rant.

Six days before the Electoral College meets on December 14, the states wrap up the certification process. The final nails in the coffin are being placed in the Trump train wreck.

By now it is clear that at some point a person in the Trump administration dug into an old tomb while ignoring the ancient warnings on the wall.
