Most of the remaining days of Trump's administration are going to feature more than a thousand Americans dying of COVID and he's never going to act like it's a problem or propose doing anything to stop it, even though the election is over and there's no political benefit whatsoever to his pretending like everything's great

This really, really is how many on the right think. This, not any high-minded ideals about Republicanism or the Rights of Minorities are behind their attempts to dilute the voting power of cities and Democratic controlled states.
