This morning so far might've been the busiest I've seen local traffic in a while.

Im starting to get the feeling I'm watching the 1985 Superbowl but the patriots paid off the refs before the game.

That's gotta be the first time Joe Biden has been compared to the '85 Bears.

Agreed.

The Dem protest way is far more in line with what protests look like across Democracies. Mass people in the streets and certain wayward elements taking advantage in the fringes to do crime.

The Trump supporters however are far more likely to go on murder sprees. If Trump loses, I would bet you will see a number of them provoking and then running over people, shooting people, while all claiming it was justified because ...'reasons'.

Also in a bet of 'who would be more likely to face an assassination attempt in a win, Trump or Biden', i would give big odds and bet Biden.

I put Trump to near zero in that regard. He just really would not face that risk. I think Biden will have a credible risk (even if not high percentage) just as the Michigan Governor did.

I had to wait in line for THREE goddamned minutes this morning. It was a travesty and I'm definitely going to write a strongly worded letter to President Harris for ruining my Tuesday.

let's not talk about assassination in this thread please.

Please post it here first.

Stock market signaling something. Maybe they like repeal of the tax cuts.

With the help of 538, I made a cheat sheet for tonight. When to polls close, when to expect results, and how the outcomes might shift as states count early & election day ballots. Hope it helps

Anyone pretending to know why the stock market does something is selling you a hot steamy pile of bullshit and you should just smile and nod.

You can make up whatever story you like and somehow assign meaning to some move of the market. Please do not bring that voodoo nonsense into a perfectly innocent sweat thread.

Ok fair enough.

I'm looking at the swing state polls and there's been a move towards Trump in the polling averages.

4 point rise in the last week in Michigan:

Big move to Trump in Pennsylvania over the last couple of weeks:

Big uptrend over the last couple of months in Arizona:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...iden-6807.html

He's within a normal polling error from taking all these states. Only Wisconsin looks safe for Biden right now.

Interesting thread this morning from Nate Cohn re: RCP averages.

Speaking of random facts from which we can attempt to glean meaning: There are about 1050 registered voters in my ward.

I was #100 this morning at 9am. The people in their biohazard suits tried making some comment about this, but I honestly couldn't hear them behind the giant plexiglass box they were sitting in.

I'm normally maybe #30ish around that time, and am indisputably surrounded by lefties.

Trump gonna get rocked.

Consistently ~20 people in line since 7am at the school behind my house, bout a 20 minute wait.

There’s a rusty 1990s Dodge Caravan plastered with Trump signs all over it in the parking lot. Seems like that might be within the 100ft, but there’s a cop right next to him so I dunno

Thanks, this is great.

South Carolina is another important state to watch tonight IMO. It is redder than GA or NC, but should be pretty highly correlated with those and SC counts votes quicker than either of them. If it looks like Biden is at or beating his 538 projection (46%) in SC, its probably terrible news for Trump. And of course, it also means that Lindsay Graham is drawing pretty live to be unemployed soon.

In the Coronavirus BFI thread which is a 'proclaimed' politics free thread but which is riddled with pro-Trump politics, Howard is one of the loudest voices decrying, and reporting to the Mods anyone who counters the pro Trump narrative.

Huge crocodile tears of 'how dare you bring politics in to this thread...'

I was literally told by a mod I was about to be banned from the thread not due to the content of my posting but due to the continued reports. He admitted he was not going to get in to who was saying what and instead just responding to preponderance of 'reports', and when I pointed out that was simply creating a 'Trump propaganda Safe Space', as all you need is a number of Trump (or any partisans) piling on the 'report' button.

The mod agreed it was not best but simply was not going to wade into trying to referee the mess there.

So do not expect anything from Howard but the cry of being a victim, and that data and stats and info are biased against recognizing Dem/Antifa/BLM wrongs while only recognizing Trump/GOP ones.

He is the perfect Trump puppet. The perfect victim. I would bet he is furiously hitting the 'report' button here and trying to get others of similar mind to do so.

Your Former Friend,
The Non-Violent BLM supporter who was called the N-Word by a Trump supporter in his Condo complex who literally said to me “I will end that BLM N—-er”
In front of my wife and 16-month-old child.

We aren’t the issue, white fragility and superiority and COINTELPRO style propaganda creating a villain out of those who have stood up for the fair and equitable right to their safety, is the problem.

Shame on you Howard. You deserve Lapka wanting to run away with you.

As of this morning this is officially the most money I have ever wagered on one event (I guess unless you count stock trades). Should be a fun sweat! Picked up some Cigar City beer for tonight in hopes of Biden shipping Florida.

Cuepee can say whatever he likes about me. I won't report or complain. His characterization of the BFI thread is materially incorrect, but whatever.
