Obey, or else.

Whitmer said businesses, such as the Owosso barber who was forced to shut down by the state, must continue to obey the state's stay-at-home orders.

The longer the lockout continues, the more grateful many will become that the Founding Father's included the Second Amendment.

For the record, I hate guns and have never fired one, nor do I ever plan to.

I suspect if one applies the WWJD principle, I'm pretty sure reaching for an assault rifle wouldn't be a candidate too often.

The militias I've seen have seemed psychopathic so I'm not sure why we should be happy for the second amendment while following the good faith advice to avoid more deaths.

But something.. something tyranny

Dude, it's well established that tyranny is telling people to stay home when going out makes them a threat to themselves and their families and their whole communities amidst a pandemic that has killed over 300,000 and isn't showing any signs of slowing down in the places that are opening up. Freedom is forcing people to choose between going back to work where they'll get sick, and staying home but losing their job, their unemployment insurance, and their health insurance.

So how long do you think people should stay locked down for? Until there's a vaccine? Until there are zero cases? Until they starve to death?

Well, I'm not sure exactly, but we could start by following the Trump administration's guidelines at the very least: after 14 consecutive days of declining cases.

Man, if only there were a way we could hold off starvation when people are out of work. If only...

It's The Simpson's bit

"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas"

Everyone knows how to get out of lockdown. Ramp up testing, contact and trace, isolate positive cases, and adjust lockdown based on what we know, move more things outside, practice social distancing, etc

Most states are doing parts of that more or less. More less than more.

The whole idea of lockdowns was to flatten the curve to prevent hospital overload. That has been achieved in most places. So why are they still ordered to stay at home?

But why would we do any of that when we can instead wave our guns around and pretend that we're fighting the Nazis?

1. No it hasn't, not in a lot of places.
2. The curve having been flattened doesn't mean the pandemic is over and that we can go back to normal without overwhelming hospitals.

So, basically you are saying people have to stay at home until the pandemic is over. When a vaccine is available, in other words.

Are hospitals still overwhelmed or not?

Are overwhelmed hospitals now an impossibility going forward?

So people should stay home then, in case they get overwhelmed?

Should they pack the bars, to ensure that they will be?

I don't see people wanting to pack into bars. I see a lot of people wanting to get back to work and get out of their houses.
