TS has been permabanned multiple times for posting racist **** and generally being a trolling ass. He’s taken up shop in BFI because the mods stopped caring and there are zero rules. Basically no one needs to know what he and his incel fan club have got going on over in BFI.

(Tien, do you still play poker? Your "Raise That S!!T Up" post was inspirational for me.)
I got out 15 years ago and that's why I wrote that post. Went into real estate development and still do that.

Probably should have played more since it was such easy money back then and compared to 400NL regs today I was quite bad. I never enjoyed stacking fish. Felt bad for them to my detriment.

How high did you climb in stakes? Did you continue or got out eventually too?

The current mods haven't yet blanket prohibited attacks on posters who have no right of reply in this forum. They usually step in pretty quick as no doubt they will this time if posters can'y contain there need to call people names.

This is a pretty interesting video that, if accurate would predate Covid to being active in Italy (Sept 2019) long before we had any knowledge of it in Wuhan or anywhere else.

Questions we see arising in the comments on this video are around potential cross contamination, etc, or other distortion of results, with most agreed that further such studies need to be done on collected and preserved blood samples that predate Covid.

Men should stop wearing cargo shorts when women stop putting 'fashion' over fit and look when it comes to their clothing choices.

Cargo shorts are men's answers to not having a purse or fanny pack, as you have a practical and comfortable place (leg pockets) to carry your stuff in.

Not that I give Pompeo much credibility but this report by him ties in to the Italy data below.

Pompeo: US 'has reason to believe' Wuhan lab staff caught COVID-19 months before pandemic
January 15, 2021

...“The United States government has reason to believe that several researchers inside the WIV became sick in autumn 2019, before the first identified case of the outbreak, with symptoms consistent with both COVID-19 and common seasonal illnesses,” Pompeo said...

That's amazing formal charges against passengers are up ~10x, when I assume the total passenger volume is way down from normal.

Nice to see lawmakers getting called out.
Hope it happens to then everywhere they go.

I'm not a fan of that. If harassing lawmakers becomes accepted then all of them will have some crazies making their lives difficult. Don't forget that many of them also have kids, and political nonsense can have an impact on them also. It will also cause politicians to become less acceptable. One of the cool things about our system of government is having the ability to interact directly with elected officials.

If you can't handle the heat (and look out for the best interests of your constituents instead of your donors) then get out of the kitchen.

Lol. Who decides that the lawmaker has betrayed their constituents and therefore should be bothered when boarding a flight or out with their family for dinner? I hope that senators start carrying tasers and using them.

Yeah, there needs to be some lines somewhere. Of course we're not all going to agree on where those lines should be, but common sense should prevail. Unfortunately, there are going to be some who either don't have that common sense, or ignore it because they think it shouldn't apply in a particular situation/to a particular politician. Social media likely only emboldens and possible rewards this kind of behaviour. The long-term result will be less access to politicians and/or less people willing to run.

Acceptance of this kind of behaviour will hurt grassroots politicians more than professional ones. The professional ones have networks and systems around them to handle it, grassroots politicians are usually left to their own devices with a phone ringing with threats and harassment, and maybe even a family to think of and few to help them..

So if you want to keep a check on powerful politicians, accepting this kind of behaviour is likely very detrimental. You're feeding their eco-system.

Exactly. And I can 100% guarantee that if it starts becoming commonplace with the high profile/career politicians, it will eventually happen to grassroots politicians as well. Even if we were to agree that there should be two different standards for different "types" of politicians (which I don't think is being suggested), it just creates another fuzzy line for people to disagree on or ignore.

Correct
AOC would be at the top of my list to be called out. She's bent the knee and fallen in line to Pelosi on command.

Wait, so you're seeing it as a good thing that politicians at all levels are harassed potentially to a point that they become less accessible and less people have an interest in running for election?

Or do you not see this as a likely result?

You guys are mostly right that the endgame to this behavior is probably not the outcome we all would want but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't kind of scratch an itch.
One starts to feel hopeless when it seems like your elected officials continuously do not have the normal person's best interest at heart. A bunch of all show, no go.

Ah, well, to that I can definitely relate. I have to confess to taking some guilty pleasure in watching Lindsey Graham getting harassed by Trump supporters at the airport in January.
