First, I think a lot of you don't understand what flattening the curve means. It is not about eliminating COVID 19 but slowing the spread so hospitals can handle it. 300,000 Americans are still going to die of this, but it won't be 600,000, because everyone who wants treatment can get it.
No hospital systems have been overwhelmed. Time to open back up.
If you are arguing we need to eliminate COVID 19, that is not the path the country has gone down. That means sheltering in place for 4 years.
BUT, given the national direction of flattening the curve to not overwhelm hospitals, it is immoral to not open up at this point. Maybe not New York city, or northern counties of New Jersey, but where there isn't a problem, time to get back to work!
