I was able to alleviate some of my White Guilt by getting the Pfizer jab.

You ever struggled to breathe? It's one of the most panic-inducing states a person can find himself / herself in. When people die from this disease, a common way to go is that the pus and fluids from your body's own battle against the disease slowly drowns you and destroys your lungs, making you unable to catch enough air. There is no shortage of patients showing up to hospitals in a panicked state as they struggle to breathe.

If you are hospitalized, medical care might allow your body to fight for longer, but damage to internal organs and linings inside the body will make your body slowly poison itself as internal membranes let go. In a last ditch attempt to destroy the disease, your body will release a cytokine storm, the medical variant of scorched earth as your own white blood cells destroys damaged tissue and your own body, causing your blood-vessels to leak, blood pressure to drop drastically and patients often go into a series of seizures, strokes and organ failure.

Unfortunately, even though the above isn't really anything other than what we know know well about the disease, it will for many people read as a political statement, scaremongering and propaganda. This is because we live in an era where what and how we debate is in large part decided by weaponized village idiots.

But yeah, we can safely assume that tens of thousands of people per month deeply regret not being vaccinated.

But since there's next to no in-person voting fraud taking place and a lot of fraudulent vaccine cards being distributed, there's really no contradiction here. The solution to one problem isn't necessarily an appropriate solution to a different non-problem.

Since, in my opinion, the CDC is itself a fraud, I'm not sure why fake vaccine ID's are problematic.

In Norway we have started mixing pfizer and moderna, so I got pifzer 1st and moderna 2nd. Didnt feel anything after 1st does but after the 2nd i got sick for 24 hours and stayed home from work.

The prime minister claims adults over 18 years will be fully vaccinated 2 weeks into September. We are getting more vaccines from the EU program since other countries are unable/unwilling to use their quotas.

I know you are being sarcastic (other than the extreme cost of his hospital stay before he croaked - those costs add up), but the interesting "benefit" in a way is that when these people get it and get really sick and croak - it does cause some of their previous followers to get vaccinated.

I think one could make the case that the death of this category of derps (typically the boomer, white alt-right dudes with the oily used sales guy hair and look) that have a small following - good chance each of those deaths causes dozens or hundreds of others to get vaccinated, so one could argue that their self chosen culling does have some benefit in the longer term. I would not be more surprised if derp deaths are causing a lot more new vaccinations than any messaging from politicians or health experts at this point, especially in the USA.

Kind of a warped interpretation of the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.

Happy to be from Norway where id say we have handled the balance of Covid and personal freedoms quite well. We are on pace to have like 85% of >17y.o population fully vaccinated by the end of september.

When this is reached it seems the current plan is to generally go back to normal. Obviously this might change if theres new data, which is alright.

I see mask mandates in schools have been discussed here earlier and thought this could be relevant to spark some discussion.

Is this feasible? Is this a good use of resources when we know children handle Covid very well? I personally say no. You can enforce masks on children, but if you werent homeschooled or a social outcast you know they will not use the masks effectively and it will all be for nothing.
