Erm, I never claimed to be a leftie. I just hated Trump. Inso0 is fairly moderate, other than the Trump apologetics. Notwithstanding that, my politics are probably closer to his than to the other Trump haters here.

But yeah, the Trump apologetics are obviously problematic, don't get me wrong.

I think our definitions of "Trump apologist" are very, very different from one another.

My, "This could be fun, let's give it a shot and see where this leads" take in very early 2016 was quickly replaced with, "Jesus Christ, someone take this guy's phone away" about 3 weeks after inauguration and never really changed from there. We're on a forum that keeps a written history, by the way. Though, you'll have to expand your post history searches to include "Drumph" because I used that moniker a lot.

Believing Trump has a chance of winning the 2024 general election is more deluded than the people who think Scandinavian societies are somehow a entry-level example of communistic harmony and success.

He's going to be the republican nominee. I think he has a much smaller chance than most people. But he's still going to be on the ticket.

If he does manage to get on any ballots, I don't even think he'll win more than 3 primary states before the Republican field thins down to avoid a repeat of the 2016 cluster**** that got us into a Trump nomination in the first place.

My boy Scott Walker tried to lead by example and encouraged others to drop out and let one of the big names beat Trump for the nomination, but no, they waited until it was too late to consolidate the field.

I feel the same way every time I see trump speak. I cannot understand why anyone would vote for him. But we have to accept the results here. There isn't much of a reason to question his place in the republican primary. He has a commanding lead.

The ongoing meme connected to me was an ancient climate discussion where I said the fact that the largest land dwelling dinosaurs had nostrils the size of a modern day horse suggested that atmospheric oxygen levels were quite a bit higher than they are today, and that somehow warped into people claiming I said dinosaurs couldn't exist because they have tiny nostrils. It didn't make sense then, and didn't make sense at any point in the 20 years since, but here we are. Now we just roll with it.

I will, however, amend my cool list to include both the tiny-nostriled Argentinosaurus, and Dumbo. The scene where he gets drunk and is tormented by a bunch of ****ed up pink demonic elephants is still pretty disturbing, though.
