Maybe because the existential threat of a pandemic is more immediate and “in our face” at the moment than the existential threat of climate change is, even if the latter, as you imply, could be a more probable threat to our existence? idk
Reducing both threats seem worthwhile pursuits but who knows which is the more pressing? The world’s gone mad and I’m losing perspective.
