Guessing it would be easy to imagine that because you hear 'america is evil' a lot as a sophomore and then far less as you get older, that's because people matured and changed their views. Well, those people matured all right, but you just don't hear from them because they don't want to be a part of your political system, or they do, but they don't say those things because they know they won't be taken seriously. Face is a huge deal in China and calling Xi a dictator publicly is a pretty big blunder imo. Serves 0 purpose and likely angers Xi even further, when at the very least we need to be having military to military communications reestablished in order to prevent a catastrophe.

In the long run it's probably not a huge deal, but seems like a pretty big slip of the tongue by Biden. I doubt it was suggested he say that.

youre giving biden way too much credit to be able to follow through on simple directions. I mean this sincerly, they probably told him "whatever you do, dont call him a dicator", and all he was able to remember was "dictator" or maybe, if he was having a good day, " call him a dictator"

I think the puppet masters are 2 levels above us, and it is intentional that when he says crazy/antagonistic things that seemingly contradict Blinken (or other high ranking officials) no one knows whether he is going off script or not.

Agree with pointless and corpus. White House is currently Weekend At Bernie's, not some 5d chess. Seems more likely Biden let something slip he shouldn't have.

I also don't care about Xi saving face, I just want military talks to resume as I feel that is extremely important.

Yeah that's fair enough as well and a pertinent point. I just have a lot of contempt for the Xi's of the world but you do tend to catch more flies with honey than vinegar so I very much hear you on this also.
