Can't believe the conspiracy theorists are asleep on this obvious China attack with the "random rocket" probably laced with pneumonic plague or worse. They have different shaped eyes over there, you know. Very suspicious.

Trump founded the space force or whatever shortly after getting into office and now Chinese space junk is falling from the sky.
Seems pretty obvious who the perpetrator is here.

dont worry the conspiracy theorists in the western mainstream media would never let an opportunity to demonize an official enemy go to waste

i wonder what the epoch times has to say about it since half the thread thinks they/falun gong are a totally legit news source with just a couple minor eccentric ideas

Poor China. It's Falun Gong and those evil conspiracy theorists in the western MSM who are the real bad guys in all of this. They'll probably demonize China over their heroic efforts to help the Uighurs and Tibetans next, not to mention their equal heroism in cracking down on those troublesome Hong Kong troublemakers...

I find the American rights love affair with FLG media to be highly amusing. Most of them don't even know what NTD stands for.

China warns US it will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war

Beijing [China], May 15 (ANI): Amid tensions in the South China Sea and over Taiwan, China has issued a warning that the US will be defeated if the two superpowers go to war.

Citing Global Times editorial piece, Express.co.uk reported that the threat is in response to joint military drills carried out by the US. The US joined drills with Japan, Australia and France this week in a show of force against Beijing.

Earlier on Thursday, China had described the military exercises in southern Japan involving troops and hardware from France, Japan, the United States and Australia as a waste of fuel, adding that the drill had "no impact" on the country.

China claims sovereignty over almost the entire South China Sea and has overlapping territorial claims with Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan.

Beijing also claims full sovereignty over Taiwan, a democracy of almost 24 million people located off the southeastern coast of mainland China, despite the fact that the two sides have been governed separately for more than seven decades.

"The Global Times put out an editorial saying the US would be defeated if any conflict broke out in the South China Sea. Many see the drills as a show of force aimed at China as Japan works towards consolidating military alliances in an effort to deter its neighbouring superpower," said RT America's Alex Mihailovich.

He further said, "The drills appeared to irritate China rather than contain it."

Former UK MP George Galloway said that this would prompt an increase in military preparedness from China.

"What a spur this must be to China's own warship development. If they are not fools, they will be building so many warships right now that no-one will dare to steam up the East China Sea and threaten them in any way," Galloway said.

Earlier this week, the Chinese People's Liberation Army released videos showing marines training for island landing drills in an apparent threat to Taiwan. Video footage released by the PLA Navy shows marines from the Eastern Theatre Command in a recent landing exercise for a simulated invasion, Express.co.uk reported.

China has been increasing its maritime activities in both the South China Sea and the East China Sea over the past few months, partly in response to Beijing's concerns over the increasing US military presence in the region because of escalating Sino-US tensions.

This is like a daily boast thing... you can find headlines along the same lines playing on CGTN in Flushing, NY. The stuff is so routine it easily gets bumped off the front page in Taiwan if, for example, a kpop star commits suicide.

So, he's paying them back for their support with a commercial for another movie he wants them to see? Very thoughtful of him.

Why hasn't a US president gone over to Taiwan for a few days for a friendly visit?
That's going to set China off?

Nobody would win a war between China and USA because they both have a lot of nuclear weapons. Any fighting taking place would be anywhere but the mainland of these two countries. No way if China or US sees their territory being invaded and losing ground do they not launch nuclear weapons.

”“It goes back to when I was a teenager in China, being in a place where there are lies everywhere,” the quote read. “You felt like you were never going to be able to get out. A lot of info I received when I was younger was not true, and I became very rebellious toward my family and my background. I went to England suddenly and relearned my history. Studying political science in a liberal arts college was a way for me to figure out what is real. Arm yourself with information, and then challenge that too.”

Spotlight, and by extension Disney, then demanded the American media outlet omit Zhao’s testimony, seemingly appeasing its Chinese business partners in order to preserve its access to the lucrative Chinese consumer market.

The quote was removed from Filmmaker’s website, but the archived versions resurfaced in China after Zhao was awarded the best director win at the Golden Globes ceremony. In response, Chinese officials cancelled the local release of Zhao’s latest film Nomadland in April and buried the incident by eliminating all traces of her mention on the internet, according to The Hollywood Reporter.“

Generally I would say the US doing all they can to assure this through the cast US failings to find ways to invest in things that build long term GDP like infrastructure, etc. Post WW2 it was these investments that catapulted the US into generations of wealth. Today the US infrastructure is laughable by world standards generally.

US in fighting is not helping either.

China is implementing that Post WW2 US blueprint now hoping and likely too gain many generations of success and world leadership.

Putting your seeming reflexive 'anything that seems counter to US interests is therefore good and holy' type rants aside, please explain to me what you think substantiates the Chinese claim to Taiwan over a Japanese one or their own Independence Claim'?

Taiwan has been a part of China for a long time, history. I don’t think China owns the South China Sea though. That they need to back off, I also think the islands control by Japan is Chinese territory too

If you are trying to argue from a view of history, it makes just as much sense to claim that the mainland belongs to the Republic of China (aka Taiwan).

Not that neither makes much sense, which is because recent Chinese history doesn't make much sense. That is hardly unique as far as history goes, still this is a particularly impressive display of dysfunction.

Suffice to say that the Republic of China has traditionally argued that they are China, while the People's Republic of China claimed they are China. They can both trace their lineage to a proud display of insane despotic ideologies embroiled in a bitter civil war, the difference being that the mainland kept theirs.

well i guess its base on leverage too, not just history. China is doing its best to take taiwan back without a war but war is inevitable if china ever wants to control taiwan. I think making a deal is the best route cuz im anti war.
