Hawley is supposedly a Trump 2.0: Authoritarian, nationalistic, populist but smart.

He's continuing his objection to the electoral votes.

And he has future presidential ambitions.

Well, this objection was already on the floor, so it seems to me that what happens during this AZ debate doesn't mean a whole lot. If he raises an objection to another state, that's another matter.

Of course this whole objection bullshit is ridiculous nonsense, but I didn't expect him to do anything different based on what happened today, during the AZ discussion. My hope is that he, Cruz, and anyone else will STFU when other states come up.

The way he eyes the camera really helps in revealing his soullessness

The issue you have now is, you are in the precarious position of dealing with people who riot when the "right" reasons are determined by other people. The left set this standard of justifying this type of behavior against stuff people don't like/agree with.
People like you make me angry, sad and frightened and Im not even American.

Thank **** for our crazies, they seem comparatively normal.

Am I correct to understand that Trumpderpers scared their only supporters in the Senate into ending their farce of protesting the election results?

Trumpderps destroy everything they touch, including boats and Senators fake dancing to try to get their future support.

When I see political comments by poker players on 2+2 and other places on the Internet, especially Twitter, which are constantly bashing Trump, I wonder how many of these people understand that they're advocating the destruction of much of our industry. And this includes someone who I personally think is of high integrity who advocates socialist type policies and yet is involved with promoting some of these ultra high buy-in tournaments. Why doesn't he realize that these policies could in time be detrimental to what he does?

As virtually everyone involved in our industry knows, poker is contracting. And with that being the case, why are so many well known poker players advocating for policies that will just accelerate this trend? Or are they too caught up in personalities to think about what the proposed differences in taxes can do?

All comments welcome.

Best wishes,
Mason

It's not unheard of to sprinkle in some stuff like that on purpose to establish your bona fides with the summer teeth set

The 25th would be a mistake. It would open up Pence to pity pardon Trump as one last act of loyalty, despite this recent mess.

Censure and charges are the way to go.

Bring a motion of Censure against Hawley and Cruz as well. Heck some Republicans who have ambitions and want to derail them might support it and Congress needs to send a message that such behaviour will not be tolerated. Even if it does not carry, members need to understand the jeopardy it may be brought against them for such garbage.

Democracy is weak and gay, I'm all for Trump being the last President. Get rid of the office and Congress completely, America should go back to its real roots by being led by a strong shaman warchief:

Can we determine wars by ritualistic combat between the shaman warchiefs?

More importantly: Will there be collectibles?

No idea what game this is about, but apparently this is how Captains get promoted to Warchief.

Note, I have no idea what the next level up is after Warchief, but perhaps we will see some in the night time invasion force when the elite march in.

Listening to the Senate is a little encouraging. But the house is full of nutcases.
Gaetz from Florida was trying to shift blame of what happened today to the left and is still persisting that the election was stolen, and he was being cheered by a whole bunch of his colleagues.

Is anyone really surprised by today's event's? I wasn't expecting the capital to be stormed and occupied, because I was expecting that there would be adequate security, which obviously there was not, but I fully expected violence.
harkin 's argument is that murder justifies murder. Rape justifies rape. Oh , Antifa rioted so why shouldn't we? This is the same hollow argument that the extreme right has always been making. Always trying to shift the blame and avoid taking responsibility. harkin, be a man and condemn what happened today. Or just say it like a man at least and admit you are in solidarity with the terrorists.

Chuck Todd explained it well . The republican house members represent districts that are heavily gerrymandered some with 75-80% trump supporters and if they don't vote against it it would be political suicide for them, whereas that's not as much of an issue for the senate Republicans
