Let’s say you wanted to get involved in Politics, where would it be easiest to start? Where would be best for R and where for D? I figured it’s gotta be like Texas or the dakotas

Yeah...Latina Republican grift circuit is ripe for the taking so definitely Texas or Florida. Maybe even California.

I feel like this is a main motivation why the Democrats are pulling out all the stops to make sure Trump is the Republican candidate (indictments, CNN townhall, etc.). They realize how vulnerable Biden is to any candidate that can be attractive to Hispanic voters. DeSantis actually isn't even a very good candidate as he is so conservative policy wise (anti abortion, anti social welfare, etc.) and even he would probably destroy Biden in the Hispanic vote.

You think that Hispanic Democratic voters are more liberal than non-Hispanic Democratic voters on issues like abortion and social services? That isn't obvious to me.

I'm not sure what this even means. What's the goal today? What's the end goal?

If the goal was to get involved, wouldn't running for something local like city council be the easiest place to start?

No, I think they are assuredly more conservaitve, which means voting Republican is actually a possibility. For coastal elite whites, it makes little difference how extreme right wing the Republican candidate is, because they wouldn't vote for them regardless.

That being said, DeSantis's extreme conservatism might be a turn off in the same way Trump's personal baggage is.

R in Long Island. Voters there will fall for anything.
