Tim Scott's whole shitick is that he is oppressed. For any of us, giving the designated official response to a POTUSes address to a joint session would be the honor of a lifetime. Scott used to whine about racism not from POTUS or any member of congress but unnamed randos. I'm the one telling him to suck it up, stop whining and talk about something more important than twitter trolls because I'm not going to feel sorry for him. So the meme has it exactly backwards. He's playing the race card and lumping in all criticism of him as racist when in reality he's just pretty awful.

The twitter trolling is the entire point, though. Look at how energized iHIV and Luckbox are over their new token black conservative friend airing the latest conservative kulturkampf grievance of the day.

That's something you've just made up because of your obsession with race and made up conservative culture wars. In reality, Tim Scott gets harsh criticism for his odious views and because he is unequipped to deal with them on an intellectual level, he uses the rhetorical strategy of engaging with twitter trolls. It's polar opposite to the left where Obama genuinely tried to ignore birtherism and treat it as a joke but Republicans made the head birther POTUS. This is a small part of why Obama would be +90 vs Scott among blacks and +15 overall.
