The illegals ended up in Florida because the Biden admin flew them in unannounced and under the radar - mostly at night. I wasn't commenting on what the standard for being granted legal asylum in the U.S. should be. I simply was noting that the standard, as a matter of fact, is quite rigorous. A lot of right wing people in the U.S. seems to think that requests for asylum are some sort of casual end run about U.S. immigration policy, which isn't the case at all.

Open borders is a complex question. Certainly I want it for myself but it is definitely pro-business interests that push for it. Still it might be preferable to having them be semi-pourous, and would certainly make Mexico better/safer.

I questioned why there are no interviews with the migrants on Video. Immigration is a contentious issue and if you are to claim that migrants were tricked into getting on those flights and the dishonest right wing media has interviews on video with migrants saying we were not tricked into getting on other buses to other locations do you due diligence.

Sadly were at a state were no one trusts the media and in many cases rightfully so. Desantis has clearly stated they were not tricked and signed waivers and given maps of were they were going. MSNBC itself has a reporter stating that this is not true.

If you acknowledge that many fewer would die if the border was open as compared to how it is now, you still can reasonably complain if you think the border could be changed such that fewer still (even compared to an open border) would die under a different border policy. But as long as you think that an open border policy results in fewer deaths than any non open border policy it means that you would prefer more deaths to open borders.

Its impossible to know something like that. Once they attempt to cross the border we know how many dies as many die of drowning as they attempt to cross the Rio Grande. WE have no idea how many die on the journey to the border or are raped. We also have no idea how many when they cross are trafficked .

Many if they had stayed in their countries may have died under criminal influence . Reality is the USA under any circumstances they see as a better life .

There is also talk of Joe Biden flying Migrants to the CDN border to be processed. Though some may not consider the NY post as trustworthy as well.
