Also during the debate he said “sure” during Wallace’s long ass sentence. Right at the part where Wallace has finished saying “condemn white supremacists” but then Wallace goes on and conflates witw supremacists with right wing militias. Then we get a **** show. But Trump said Sure.
Do the white supremacists/militias seem to be giving off the jilted vibe? Or do they seem pretty solidly behind their guy? trump could look dead in the camera and say he hates them--and they'd just rationalize it by saying well he has to say that And they'd basically be right. That trump can't even make himself go that far is pretty telling though.

It's not unlike the evangelicals--I'm sure tons of them think trump is a horror show--but he's pretty much all they have so they're on his side.

Biden did what he needed to do.

Trump is going to be utterly furious tomorrow. He will blame his debate preppers for lack of gains in the pollsz

He bragged about NOT prepping

So looks like Proud Boys are already pumping out stand back merchandise. Guess they didn’t hear Trump say “Sure”

My take home from the debate:

Trump is ill informed, lies constantly, and is probably not actually behind any meaningful decision this Presidency has made.

Biden could crap his underwear and not realize it.

if you looked forward to this debate as anything other than a shitshow like in that quote Shuffle posted, then you are as dumb as trump.

everyone knew what was gonna happen. biden would play the old politician, and trump would play the idiot child and nothing serious would come of it.

miss me with the "millions of americans, journalists in particular...looked forward to this year's presidential debates" stuff.

It went about as expected. Trump did not stray far from his debate playbook and Biden was doddering. Much more excited to watch how Harris handles Pence's political double-talk.

It's an indictment of America that debates are needed to choose our leader.

Edit: I mean "leader"

He's not even a real bully ... he gives bullies a bad name. A bully can at least try to face down and even beat down someone he perceives as weaker than him. 45 can't do this, not even close. He is afraid of real confrontation. So he admires and fauns over real bullies ... and can't even fathom what real strength is.

Did anyone count how many "come on man" there were from Biden? I counted 2 definitely.

That was a trainwreck.

lol America

Good point on MSNBC (David somebody) about him being an autocrat (for his whole life) and he resents any opposition, any countering or limiting of his power, or even having to subject himself to votes against him. Under the veneer its worse than Kafka's "monstrous vermin." The veneer is petulant, immature, impulsive, greedy, callous, uncaring, a vulgarian, dishonest in the extreme ... and that's the good surface part. It gets worse.

YOu don't think the egomaniac autocrat is making decisions ... say all the executive orders and erasing of Obama policy??? Who's doing that then? If Biden got in he would more fit that mold, delegating to very competent experts and scientists.

I thought it was more than that ... maybe it was his other catch phrase I kept hearing ... can't remember what it is right now.

You might want to sit down for this, but sometimes Trump isn't always 100% truthful.

Take as long as you need.

Bundy doing an amazing job of demonstrating exactly how dog-whistles work itt: red meat for the target audience, plausible denial for the squeamish normies.

I don't know - Biden isn't too far off in the autocrat stakes to Trump.

So, I'm open-minded, was the PB comment a Perry Mason moment where his temper flared and he showed Machiavellianism to the millionth power and even evil underneath the surface... or something else?
09-30-2020 , 01:47 AM
If Bloomberg was the democrat presidential nominee would we be having a debate over trump's taxes?

He refuses to say "I denounce [white supremacist group]". I'm not sure how he came up with "stand back and stand by" on the fly. He must have rehearsed that one for any kind of scenario like this.

But seriously - if our biggest fear of Trump refusing to cede power is the tiki-torch brigade Boys activate - that will be pretty lol.

You actually think Trump crafted those. Or was even present during the strategy meetings behind those. That's what you think?

Trump takes credit. He does none of the work. The people around them make people think it was all his idea. That is how he operates. That is why none of the Republicans care about his incessant babbling. It's their work and their policies. Trump is not a puppet. At least a puppet learns lines. Trump is a figure head.

Didn't really look like anything was rehearsed from Trump for the debate so if anything it was just a poor choice of words given that the overall impression you get from his answer as he immediately accepted that he denounced the violet rioting.
