My mom met Trump this weekend. She said he was very polite and friendly. Not what the media projects at all. I bet most of you would feel this way if given the opportunity to have a one-on-one with Donald.

Not a chance. He embodies the worst possible characteristics of a human being. "polite and friendly" is just part of his snake oil salesman schtick. I'm baffled that anyone falls for it. He would throw your mother under a bus if he could make a few bucks off it.

This is what I mean. You probably wouldn't feel this way if you met him

Such a simpleton answer.

TedBundy was also very charming and friendly. Until he was hitting you in the face with a log. Duh.

If your mother is a Trump supporter, he probably was. I imagine that Trump is often friendly to people who profess to admire him.

No. But I can read and educate myself. If you were capable of doing those things you’d learn stuff, too.

Good conmen tend to be fairly charismatic. Hard to get people to trust you enough to scam them if they think you're an assh*le.

I just went to a regular college not a super tough admissions college like you. I don't read good

I believe you. The vaccine didn’t do anything, just like seatbelts and airbags don’t do anything.

Saw the New York Times sadly carrying water for Putin again, claiming that Trump was ahead of Biden in battleground state polling. Clearly we have not done enough to tackle Russian disinformation. Hopefully the journalist who wrote the article is fired

If in order to vote one had to pass the same test that immigrants have to pass to become citizens, (and therefore allowed to vote) do you think that would help or hurt Trump's chances?

Would definitely hurt his chances if he had to take it to be eligible to run.

Might not have anyone under 30 voting

Yeah, I've gone back and forth on david's question. Then, I decided to take a few sample tests just to help me figure it out. Hard to believe that anyone that is paying attention couldn't pass it, but there's a lot that's hard to believe these days.

I mean, on the one hand, republicans are less educated (fact). Plus, the hardcore trumpers are monumentally stupid and don't have a firm grasp on reality.

But lozen has a good point. From what I can tell, younger people just aren't up on this as much as older people which would suggest that maybe it helps trump. And, I'm not really sure that the under 30 crowd cares as much about voting in general as older folks. I could be wrong about this.

I dunno. maybe at the end of the day it's a wash.

Very good. +1

Anyway, let's wrap this thing up, Donald Trump is going to be our next President. Let's hope he continues to be a slightly less bad President than the last Republican President before him! Just kidding, I know Trump is a unique monster and George W. Bush was a principled civil servant who would never STEAL THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION or kill a million people in Iraq.

oh ****, I forgot, there's still time for THE ADULTS IN THE ROOM to come in and deny Trump the GOP nomination, as was repeatedly promised by Inso0 and multiple other posters here and elsewhere

any minute now...
