I didn't accuse anyone of making a racially motivated attack on Harris, although I'm sure some attacks on her are racially motivated. I said that people were digging in on this issue because Harris was a woman.

I don't think your comment had anything in particular to do with Kamala Harris's ethnicity. I think it had a great deal to do with her being a Democrat and woman.

I am not defending Kamala in particular. I have noted in this forum on several occasions that a very disproportionate number of the most hated Democrats (by conservatives) in this country are women.

Maybe that's a coincidence. But it's a damn persistent one.

As for Kamala herself, I don't think she is a very good candidate, and I don't think she would be a particularly effective president. I wasn't a Kamala supporter in the 2016 primary, and if Biden dropped out, I wouldn't be rooting for her to get the nomination.

But I think her dating history from thirty years ago is totally irrelevant, just as I think it is totally irrelevant that Tim Scott has never been married.

I wonder if this would actually stand up to empirical scrutiny, or if it's just the case that a lot of prominent Democratic politicians happen to be women. Between HRC, Pelosi, Harris, and "the squad" members-- that's a lot of women. (Also Warren).

I imagine lots of people would have a hard time naming 7 male Democratic politicians.
