We're talking about killing someone -- should we really be looking to make that easier? Do you feel we're lacking in our kill count?

If you asked me honestly I do believe were lacking in our kill count. I started off for the death penalty than against it but about 5 years ago back for it

There would be many crimes I would utilize it for but would eliminate lethal injection and the electric chair. I would go back to a firing squad and the guillotine.

I am very comfortable with mass shooters, cop killers, repeat offenders of rape, child molestation and murder

Though I am also against privatizing prisons and we need prison reform

i agree with this, we shouldn't lower the threshold for this in trial phases

if anything, we need to make more restrictions because the real issues come after the sentencing when there are years of appeals that cost the state millions of dollars

i've never understood how you can decide to kill someone but be so unsure of whether it being the right thing to do that you then hold them for a decade and allow them to repeatedly get do-overs in court

yes, there needs to be an appeals process, and yes we do make mistakes just frequently enough to where we find after the fact they were innocent, but if the system doesn't trust in itself enough to carry through the sentence in a timely manner then it shouldn't be done at all

any amount lower than unanimous has already been shown to lead to racist outcomes.

I'm surprised JB Pritzger isn't listed. I'm pretty sure he plans a presidential run at some point based on some of his policies, and he certainly has the financing to make it happen.

It saddens me greatly that Trump's odds are that high, relatively speaking.

Please sirs, just stop interacting with anything invoking his name. If you ignore him, he'll go away. Kind of like how Tinkerbell dies if you don't believe.

He's a social media vampire sustained solely on clicks and dislikes. If you stop feeding him, he cannot hurt you.

the turn on trump is amusing considering most are pivoting towards desantis, who is the exact same person.

What may happen is you have 8 to 10 other folks battling for the primary Trump will win with 30% as the rest will split it up

How Trump loses is if only one person runs against him

Even so, at the convention someone has to get the majority vote (not just a plurality) of the delegates.

I suspect a brokered convention would not end well for Mr. Trump.

I, for one, can't wait for the first Republican debate of the primaries.

Must See TV

My money would be on Ron De Santis.

The only good thing about the coming recession is that Joe Biden won't get re-elected. I'm sure he will untie Kamala Harris from the radiator in the White House in an attempt to get the black vote, but I don't think it's going to work this time.

The American consumer is broke.

Biden ushered in inflation believing in big government over the belief that the American people could thrive and prosper on their own.

For shame.

power move by Dems to put South Carolina first in primaries

would Obama have beaten Hillary with SC first? Seems way more establishment friendly

Biden won big there in 2020. I think it was his first ever win in a primary.

No Power move by Biden I am not sure why he needs to do this as he may be the lone one running

I don't think it is just with 2024 in mind, I think you gotta do it now so it is in place for 2028 when it is a wide open primary with 10-15 people running. Then you get another Biden/Obama rather than someone further left than them economically, which the donors don't want. And also, the American public will perhaps be lukewarm on as well.

I know that Republicans love to believe that black voters are incapable of seeing past the skin color of candidates, but the bolded is a lazy, bullshit take. In the last round of Democratic primaries, Biden did much better with black voters than Harris did.
