I agree with Trolly that the GOP is closer to Trump nationalist party than a Christian nationalist party at this point.
I would describe Vivek as more of a high ceiling, very low probability gimmick. If Trump were on a debate stage with Vivek, Trump would be justified in looking directly at Vivek and saying, "it sounds like you think I should be the next President." For that reason, Vivek is drawing stone dead -- 0.0% -- if Trump continues in the race.
Would Vivek consider being Trump's running mate? I honestly don't know. He surely must realize that Trump does harm to everyone around him. If I were Trump, I would choose someone like Tim Scott who was easier to control and less likely to cause trouble.
