I do agree that anybody that plausibly could have been President would have done more-or-less the same thing here. US Presidents are bad. All of them. This is Empire.

This is a gray area. Scholars disagree. And SRM is correct that this SCOTUS likely would reject any reading of the 22nd and 12th amendments that allowed Obama to be VP.

SCOTUS is generally originalists. Would be interesting to see them twist through hoops to make a non-originalist ruling.

he's weird and not likeable. the thought is that he was picked to appease the base(and the techmaga's since he's Thiel's baby) in a situation where they wouldn't need him to do anything because Trump was going to walk to a victory.. now that victory scenario has changed and rumors are republicans are already regretting the pick.
