Considering the only example of this I can think of is Medvedev and Putin, I don't think it's really the look Dems are looking for.

Where did you get this? Because that's not in the 22nd amendment.

It seems so to me. But Fella's post read like he was quoting the text.

I think that was Trumps stream of conscious ramblings yesterday about him getting reimbursed for fraud after prepping for Biden

The first two readily describe the situation in Gaza. The third doesn't, but their definition is clearly too stringent - even The Holocaust is not genocide according to Cambridge, unless they're being quite sketchy with the definition of the phrase "whole group".

Your alleged "huge ****ing idiots" are wordsmiths compared to you.

I do agree that anybody that plausibly could have been President would have done more-or-less the same thing here. US Presidents are bad. All of them. This is Empire.

This is a gray area. Scholars disagree. And SRM is correct that this SCOTUS likely would reject any reading of the 22nd and 12th amendments that allowed Obama to be VP.

SCOTUS is generally originalists. Would be interesting to see them twist through hoops to make a non-originalist ruling.

If they didn't want a 2 term president to be able to hold the office of VP wouldn't they have put that in the 22nd?

“I’m afraid if we lose this one, it’s going to take a civil war to save the country,” said George Lang, a state senator from the Cincinnati area, shortly before Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance took the stage at his first solo rally in Middletown, his hometown.
I’m not saying every trump supporter is openly jerking off for political violence and the thought of civil war or overthrowing the government but every person openly jerking off for political violence and the thought of civil war or overthrowing the government is voting for trump

I think what we’ve learned is the constitution was written and amended by people with no foresight for how hard it would get angleshot

I'm fairly convinced Vance is a plant. The guy is a hick through and through. No way he stormed his way through Yale impressing the pants off incredibly intelligent people.

Oh god, I think I just called Vance DEI

he's from some suburb that has 50k people.. he is definitely not a hick.. he's even cosplaying at that because he spent a summer in kentucky.

i am significantly more of a "hick" than Vance.. at least i actually grew up on a farm in Appalachia.

he's weird and not likeable. the thought is that he was picked to appease the base(and the techmaga's since he's Thiel's baby) in a situation where they wouldn't need him to do anything because Trump was going to walk to a victory.. now that victory scenario has changed and rumors are republicans are already regretting the pick.

he said something about how the left is going to say diet mountain dew is racist. like all of his gotcha's were just insanely dumb and didnt even draw reactions from the fully maga crowd.

It was a complete low energy dud where he laughed at his own jokes to no reaction and the headline is gonna be some weird nonsense about how libs will call him racist cuz he drinks diet Mountain Dew (not kidding)

He already brought nothing to the table to energize the base and if anything alienated them by marrying an Indian woman. This just seems like a fiasco

I just mean he wouldn't readily be accepted by the Yale elite because he generally comes across like a rube. Wasn't using hick in a narrow scope

Republicans demanding:

1. Biden step down immediately if he isn’t running for president

and

2. SCOTUS force biden to remain at the top of the ticket

Is basically all you need to know this is a deeply unserious party who was not prepared for someone to put country over self and knows they are unequivocally ****ed running some belligerent halfwit demogauge against anyone who isn’t 80 years old

I bet if Orange told the same joke there would have been hearty guffaws and rapturous applause all round. Must be the way you tell 'em.

As hard as he tries to pretend otherwise, it is apparent that he was not a hillbilly just from his garbage book. Poor illiterate kids don't ****ing play Magic: The Gathering, especially 25 years ago when it was a niche nerd thing.
