I agree that central banking and inflation was an issue that started long before Biden. Trump cheered on a real estate and stock bubble caused by cheap money printing and championed destructive economic policies like trade tariffs, border controls and the government purchase and distribution of vaccines. It seems like many place their hope in Trump and fail to realize his platform is as hopeless as Biden's in creating meaningful change, or in continuing a stable society in the wake of the collapse of the banks, currency and credit markets.

DNC launches Milwaukee billboards with Trump ‘horrible’ city comment.

Dems outside Wisconsin:

Actual Wisconsinites:

Milwaukeeans:

The people who will defend Milwaukee hardest were never going to vote Trump. There's a non-zero contingent of apolitical people who agree with the sentiment of Milwaukee being a bit of a shithole who might see the billboards and a dude running for POTUS who shares their opinion, though.

Obama won 99% of the vote in the areas people talk about when referring to Milwaukee as a horrible place. These are not people Trump need worry about offending.

The billboards will resonate with the people in mansions on Lake Drive who have a Milwaukee address but spend half of their day worrying about human beings shitting on their lawn or breaking into their homes and garages.

Having the GOP convention in Milwaukee makes sense because Wisconsin is important and Fiserv Forum is the only logical place to hold it, but the City itself is an island, and the attendees will be from the suburbs and probably laugh at the billboards along 94 on their way downtown.

Swing and a miss, DNC.

Dude, we know it's a shithole, we've seen the pictures of those slums you rent out and call apartments, remember?

I learned something about milwaukee from you one time; we were having a discussion about suspended drivers liscenses and we were mildly talking past each other. You were talking about how driving with a suspended liscense gets off with a slap on the wrist and I was talking about how its punished way too harshly. What I learned is that milwaukee has the most lenient punishment for driving on a suspended liscense in the country and kansas is unusually strict in that regard. I.e in milwaukee its a low three digit ticket; in kansas its 5 days to a year in jail- the wrong sort of people have gottwn a year in jail and died there over this.

It's a low price ticket that you don't actually have to pay, because the punishment for not paying the ticket is... taking away your license.

But when you drive without a license, you just get a ticket, which... you can see where this is going.

uh in Italy they take the vehicle for 3 months, and the fine is 5k to 30k euro.

If you do it again it's a felony, up to 1 year in jail, and they take the vehicle for good

It used to be that you'd rarely have the cops take your car around here. You had to really **** up somehow. Like, probably hit a pedestrian.

In 2022, Milwaukee really cracked down on it, and now the cops will tow an unregistered vehicle if you're caught doing one or more of the following:

1) Reckless driving
2) Speeding 25 mph above the limit
3) Fleeing police
4) Racing

If you're just driving without a license in an unregistered vehicle, that's no big deal. Driving on the sidewalk is no bueno, though. I stopped taking Milwaukee side streets home when I purchased my new car back in late 2021, but when I was still doing it, it was not at all uncommon to see people literally drive on the sidewalk to bypass a line of cars on Center St or North Ave.

I take the freeway home nowadays. It takes twice as long, but I'm not going to get side swiped by a blacked out hooptie that reeks of weed because someone was too impatient to wait for a red light or stop for a pedestrian.

Stay classy, Milwaukee.

Edit: So yeah, any visibility Trump can bring to Milwaukee by calling us a shithole is appreciated. We want some changes around here.

Currently undecided voters may be a deciding factor of 2024's presidential election. The 2024 general elections in the USA, as were the previous last few presidential elections, is also expected to be won by comparatively small winner's plurality of votes cast in a few key states.

Trump having been found guilty of causing falsifying of business records for the purpose of enabling and/or concealing another crime, has not substantially changed the proportion of voters who firmly intend to vote for or against him in the 2024 general elections. The presiding judge has ordered Trump to appear in court for sentencing on the 11th of July.

If currently undecided or less decided voters perceive Trump's sentence to be comparatively harsh, (particularly if the sentence hinders Trump from traveling and campaigning throughout the USA), some of those less decided voters (to Trump's favor), will effectively consider him as a martyr.
If currently undecided or less decided voters perceive trump's sentence to be comparatively mild, they may perceive the sentence to reflect the judge's evaluation of the underlying crime's severity, and some more of those less decided voters will decide in favor of Trump.

I prefer the judge announce his reluctance to influence the 2024 elections and orders Trump to return for sentencing on the 12th of November, a day after Veteran's Day and a week after Election Day, because I prefer he not again be elected president of the USA.
Respectfully, Supposn
