Hi ramabranch,

Speak to live chat if the refund has not already been made. Usually BetOnline are quite quick at sorting these issues.
If they can not help please send me a pm with your account number and email address please.

Kind regards

Mike

Can you just tell us what’s happening with the servers and the lag please? I know this rarely happens here but a real transparent update would be nice. I’m just so confused why these sites can’t be honest. Just say this is the problem and this is how long they think it will take to be fixed. It’s very simple. Don’t be like those other two sites please

Hi Tiger24,

I understand the frustration but unfortunately I don't have any more news.
I was told it was sorted on the weekend and yet it has taken longer than expected.

As you said this rarely happens at BOL, and I can only apologise for the inconvenience it has caused.

Kind regards

Mike

Hey was curious if the site is currently down? I recently started playing online poker again after have such a good experience with your site! but tonight after I made a deposit I went to go play some tournaments and am unable to login, nor can I access the pager at all. just getting an error about unable to connect to page due to permission or server failure. So was just curious to know what was going on. been great playing online poker again and a little sports betting on the side!

Is the money safe?

A simple yes or no is fine, then you guys can take all the time in the world repairing your site.

Multiple days, no word if funds safe.

Silence speaks volumes sometimes.

God bless your souls.

I did as well. Honestly this stuff is pretty common. Hackers are super aggressive these days and have come up with good tools. Lookup Ryuk if you’re interested. They probably took steps to assess the damage first including access to financials. It might take a week or two to come back fully online but this happens pretty regularly to big companies with good (or at least halfway decent) security. It’s really too early for people to be completely freaking out over this.

Also people shouldn’t in general be keeping amounts of money in online poker that they’re not okay with losing anyways

Yeah so, I'd be fine with this "don't have amounts of money in online poker I'm not ok with losing" statement if it were money I lost, or was prepared to lose, ya know ... at the tables. I'm not OK with the idea of "losing it anyways" for no good reason, like if it just disappears, totally out of my control.

This month was my first month back to online play after getting financially MURDERED by FT on Black Friday. Like a nice, new family sedan worth of money murdered. That type of loss, yeah no I'm never going to be "okay with losing anyways."

Not snark: why does this only happen to grey market sites? It's never happened to wsop.com, it's never happened to the US-based Stars sites. I don't think it's ever happened to global. Has it ever happened to Stars.com or any of the individual country licences? Party.com?

It’s happened to legitimate large publicly traded companies that I’ve worked with. Most companies don’t like to advertise when they get got like this but it definitely happens

So you lost your shirt on Black Friday but are still surprised that money in online poker can up and disappear for reasons that are out of your control?
