Same here. It's the Card Catcher. Opens just fine without it but shuts down immediately once it's detected. The same thing happened a few months ago, you have to wait for the patch.

Hi guys,

I've been informed that there is a scheduled downtime for maintenance tomorrow Wednesday Dec. 15, starting at 1:00am ET and ending at 6:00am ET (5 hours).

Unfortunately this will impact tonight's $25,000 GTD at 7:30pm, so it's been removed from the tournament's lobby.

The regular tournament schedule will resume shortly after the maintenance period.

Regards,

Chris

Chris -- any chance you guys can start putting in $55+ buy-in survival tournaments? Since these updates seem to happen like once a week, you could at least put in tournaments with buy-ins comparable to the ones being canceled.

It's a good suggestion AlsknBulWm,

I am sending it to the tournaments team so they can review it.

Cheers,

Is anyone else having issues logging in today? I kept getting "unexpected server response". I tried re-downloading the client and was getting the same message and eventually it let me in after clicking "connect" about 10 times. Have never had problems like this before?

I haven't been able to log in today either.

Hi guys,

I've been informed that Chico Poker brands experienced some connectivity issues between 1:30pm ET and 2:00pm ET. There were a few tournaments in "running" status that got cancelled and refunded:
  • $3.30 - $500 Gtd - RE
  • $55 Early Bird - $6,000 Gtd
  • $25 Early Bird - $5,000 Gtd
  • $3.30 - $250 Gtd
  • $6.60 - $800 Gtd - RE
  • $1.65 - $400 Gtd - PKO

Some of the upcoming tourneys are being removed while everything gets reviewed and services are fully restored.

Chris

Hi guys,

Wanted to share the latest announcement from the Chico Poker Network regarding their upcoming poker tournament series. Starts this Sunday, January 23rd through February 6th and features 130 Championship events over 15 days. The buy-in ranges start at $11, all the way up to $320 and the main event is a $300,000 GTD @ $109. Here are a few things to consider:
  • $2 Million in guaranteed tournaments
  • There are satellites and sit & go satellites with buy-ins of $1.10, $2.20, $3.30, $5.50, $6.60, $8.40, $11 and $12.50)
  • They'll be Freerolls running 24/7 awarding tickets into Satellites and Events
  • Players that participate in multiple Championship events will qualify for Random Poker Prizes
  • They are featuring mobile-only events during the series too

Here's the full schedule that has been announced:
https://www.betonline.ag/promotions/cops-january-2022
https://promotions.sportsbetting.ag/cops-january-2022
https://promotions.tigergaming.com/cops-january-2022

I noticed they weren't featuring any Omaha events and it appears the reason for this is because they are gearing up for an Omaha-only series following this one.

Feel free to send any feedback, I'll make sure it gets sent to the Tournaments crew.

Regards,
Chris

Hi guys,

I've been informed there's a scheduled maintenance for tomorrow Thursday, March 17th starting at 5:00am ET until 7:00am ET. Please note that some of the tournaments in the schedule that usually overlap with this 2 hour downtime will be suspended.

This downtime will not affect the nightly $25,000 GTD tonight.

Here's a brief description of the items being released:

Cash Games
Run it 2/3 times: Now players can save their preferences for the Run it 2/3 times features. The option to do so can be found in table settings.
Anonymous: Players identities will only be revealed once a new player has paid a blind to join the hand. (before a player could buy-in and view the players on the table without playing a hand).
Button blind games: Now when joining the game, players pay the BB only in the dealer position.

Tournaments
Multi-Entry tournaments: Now in knockout tournaments, when entries are merged, the KO bounty is paid as if a player knocked himself out.

Casino Games
Take a look at our new awesome 243 lines slot Reef Riches and delicious slot A La Carte (FYI – These games will not be released until a week or 2 after v40)

UX/UI Improvements
Random Prize: Sounds have been enhanced when you receive a Random Prize reward
Participant lists in tournament: Players will now be sorted in descending stack size. If more than one player has the same stack size they will be sorted alphabetically by nickname.

Regards,
Chris

Hi guys,

There's a very short maintenance (15 minutes) that will take place tomorrow Friday, June 24th at 6:00am ET.

Unlike other scheduled maintenances, this time tournaments are not being canceled. The poker team will only be pausing tournaments from 5:55 am ET and resuming them at 6:25 am ET.

Alerts will be issued in the poker platform before the maintenance window.

Regards,
Chris

Please please please add in the option to use the former / classic table layout.
I can appreciate the design team spent a lot of time on it but I find it to be much less preferable in every way to the old software which I actually was a fan of. All personal opinion being voiced here. IÂ’m sure IÂ’m not the only one around tho who would like this to be an option.

I think the entire industry making an all out rush to emulate and imitate GG/N8 probably makes sense from a business standpoint (imitate the industry leader etc) but the execution on this round of it falls pretty flat for me.

The font and card graphics are nigh unreadable now when sizing the table even halfway reasonably. This is magnified tenfold for people who multitable and multi network. The former software was legit the best like even better than wpn. Could make the table very small so as to tile bundles of them alongside ignition wpn and global and all the card graphics and stack sizes and bet sizes were very legible. Not kidding it was my favorite even more than wpn.

IÂ’m not saying to scrap the new one. IÂ’m sure some people love it and it would be a travesty for the design teamÂ’s work to be unused.
Just add in the option for us to revert back to the former / classic table layout please. DonÂ’t leave the options to only be one new version and an even worse (imo) new version. Other networks have similar options I mean stars u can still use the layout from like 2007 and party u were able to use the like 2003 layout even as late as 2015 last I played.

Even making the table as large as global (by far and away the worst I had played on) still leaves partial card graphics and chip stacks / pot size / bet size barely legible. No option to change any of these in settings.

Additionally, there seems to be a ton of unused space in the window for the table relative to where the table and seats are arranged. The table is about or even less than half the size of the window itÂ’s displayed in which makes table overlap an absolute nightmare.

Would really like to continue mixing this network into the grind as I love a few regular events and series but legit canÂ’t with the new software. Have to drop all but one maybe two tables of it and it further clutters the rest of both monitors as a result.

Also yeah donÂ’t change the standard 4 color deck away from industry standard of last 20 years. Green clubs blue diamonds red hearts black spades.

This is not meant to come across as a hateful rant. Just providing feedback, though it is mostly negative, from a personal standpoint.

Please just add the option to use the former layout and former table set up.
Would be end boss amazing if we were able to continue to use the old lay out. Too old and too blind to read or see any of these cards or fonts with 12-16 tables running across 4 networks on 2 monitors.

I just wanted to thank everyone that has submitted their feedback and suggestions regarding the latest software release. Rest assured that all your comments are being documented and sent to the Poker Team for review. Hopefully most of the requests can be addressed.

I'll keep you all posted with any updates regarding those recommendations.

Hi guys,

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME NOTICE

This Sunday, November 6th at 2:00 am clocks are adjusted for those that are affected by the end of Daylight Saving Time.

Tournaments in the poker lobby will show the time in the device used to play so there is no action required by players to account for this change as most devices will update automatically. In case you notice a slight discrepancy with certain events from the Sunday schedule, please note that these will show the correct time after the switch to spring time on Sunday at 2:00 am.

Regards,
Chris

Hey rama,

Apologies for the late notice. It is usually only the tournaments close to the downtime, they normally keep the main tournaments in the late night schedule the day before.

I will request a list of the tournaments cancelled for the next release.

Thank you!
Chris

Hello, my client crashed twice today. I play here all the time and never have this problem, so I am assuming the new update is causing it. No error message popped up, everything abruptly closed. I was able to reopen the client right away though.

Hi sadgeguru,

I have a message from the Poker Team today that this morning a fix was released in the Windows desktop client to correct this issue. Apparently it was happening when you opened tournaments in the lobby. Can you check again to see if this is still an issue?

Thanks,
Chris

Hey there! Is the site down? I'm getting the message "A connection with the server could not be established", and the website is not connecting either. Thanks.

Hi guys,

There is a scheduled maintenance happening tomorrow Wednesday, March 1st from 5:00am ET until 5:45am ET (45 min downtime expected).

Once the service gets restored the site is expecting to deliver a new Bad Beat Jackpot per stake level available in all No Limit Hold'em tables (not just the high-stakes). Every stake level (NLHE) will have a unique Jackpot as of March 1st with a lower requirement (Aces Full of Deuces). The site's goal is to offer more Jackpot prizes more frequently. Boost tables will now be included as part of the overall Bad Beat Jackpot 2.0 by stake level.

PLO tables won't have a Jackpot just yet but it is on the horizon for delivery in the near future.

As promised, here's a list of the tournaments that overlap with the scheduled downtime. These will be cancelled and replaced with Time-Limited events.

Regards,
Chris

Hi guys,

There is a scheduled maintenance happening tomorrow Thursday, March 9th from 5:00am ET until 6:00am ET (1 hour downtime expected).

The downtime is only a regular maintenance to services and does not have any changes on player side.

Here's a list of the tournaments affected:

The $7.5K GTD will be replaced with a Turbo $3K GTD tournament. Events from 12:00 am ET until 3:30 am ET will feature a "Survivor" structure. The rest are being cancelled.

Regards,
Chris
