Hi guys,

A warning was sent by mistake to certain players regarding activity on their accounts and we are currently amending the situation with those players directly.
And in regards to the prohibited software list, we are currently working on updating this on our website’s policy to be totally transparent about the software tools that we do not allow. I will post the link to the website once we officially publish this.

I am so sorry for all the inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards
Mike

Mike,

The prohibited solution list will be helpful to the players.

Thank you.

An actual list of allowed software is most helpful.
There is always new software coming out and we can assume it is prohibited until is on the allowed list.

A mere description of allowed/prohibited software is not clear enough to someone as thick-skulled as me.

For example, I would reason that Omaha indicator and Tournament indicator are allowed, but without seeing it on an allowed list, I only use the version of holdem indicator that can be downloaded directly from betonline and sportsbetting.

I have also deleted DriveHUD, suspecting it may be verboten.

I can't imagine why DriveHUD would be forbidden, but PT4 and HM2 are okay for use...?

SportsBetting.ag is a part of this network. SportBet is a separate site and company all together and is not related to this network. The 3 sites on this network are BetOnline, SportsBetting and TigerGaming.

Totally agree. I don't get why some poker sites insist on saying what third party software is or isn't allowed only in vaguely worded descriptions - the meaning of which is seemingly known only to themselves. It's total disregard for their "customers" not to state these policies in plainly understood language, especially when the penalty for violation is so steep. Tinfoil hat time: Are they just trying to get rid of some players by making us have to guess what they mean?

All poker sites need to plainly say either, "HUD's (or whatever third-party software they have rules about) are allowed" or "HUD's aren't allowed", and then as firerain posted, provide a list of specific programs that they do/don't allow.

Over a year ago, I had a huge fight with Merge about this very same issue. They have a similarly vague policy description. I emailed them three times asking about HUD use, with no response. I finally went on Live Customer Support. It took a huge amount of questions before the rep finally said they don't allow HUD's, and they would confiscate the money in my account, and ban me if I was caught using one. I got so angry at them for making it so difficult to find this information out, especially with the severe penalties, that I told them I would never play there again. This was after being a member there for 10 years, which didn't seem to matter to them. That's when I joined BOL.

I also can't figure out why Chico/BOL would ban HUD's, when they give us a free one. Merge/Carbon used to give players the same HUD that BOL does, as well as the Omaha version, but dropped it a couple of years ago. Then they came out with their vaguely worded "Prohibited Third-Party Software" statement. Since they no longer had the free HUDs, and their traffic kept dropping, I pretty much stopped playing there anyway, and that unsatisfactory customer service session just got me to quit them completely.

Would this apply to a message I received about having piosolver running in the background? It’s ridiculous to assume someone is out there pulling up solves in pio for every situation they land in.

If anything the silver process itself shouldn’t be a problem and pio viewer could be prohibited?

I think there is some misunderstanding about how PioSolver functions as it's not really used on BetOnline or on any site as you play because of its current speed limitations. It's mostly used as an off the table study tool after or before playing, but I don't think that asking to have the program closed while playing at the tables is an unreasonable request.

That’s sort of what I was getting at saying that it would be reasonable to prohibit pioviewer, but piosolver itself should be allowed to be solving in the background.

I’m currently just getting into GTO. So I pretty much constantly have a script solving in the background examining the basic situations.

I don't see the need for them to allow people to use solvers while they're at the tables even if they're not helping you as you play. Just set them to run before you go to sleep when you have the client closed.

Hello, its very nice that finnaly we have something official on 2+2 represented by thier stuff, I have a question about some I'm guessing more less random ban's for winning player ( my good friend, who grinded up to nl400 back then was banned and chico network said the reason behind that is that they want to protect recreational players )

As far as I know there were other ppl banned, thankfully I was not part in it, but frankly I'm a bit scared it might happen to me one day, especially since I started to really crushing NL100 SH in that month, so I'm curious what you would have to say about that Mike, is that still a possibility that winning player will get banned because he simply have to high winrate?

Regards

Completely agree with this. Many players use solvers and lesser solutions at micros as study tools. Then, we focus on A game. if I just tilted a portion of buy in, take a break, refocus, and then remember that A game more important than results. You your solver to make plan, not to strategize while playing.

Hi spaishoot2k
I can only look into the account and check the reason the account was banned and all of the correspondence to help give you an answer. I can not comment on a case or an email that I do not know about.
Please send me the details in a private message.

Kind Regards

Hi Behumble, could you please send me stats privately on the accounts you believe are bots.
We are continuously working to make the site safer from all software.
