Hey I just deposited on the site. Like the tournament schedule and the interface so far. What is the purpose of VIP points and the tier levels? Can you exchange points for something, and are there any benefits to being a higher tier?

What NINzent said is true. VIP points have 0 value. They used to be able to be used to buy into tournaments at a roughly 5% rakeback rate, but were made worthless many months ago. There have been promises of a new VIP system coming, but no one really believes anymore. The tier levels have never meant anything. GL and welcome to BOL.

High hand table is easier to qualify to get money for than Iron man. Unfortunately I like Boost poker better. Decisions decisions.

8 reg tables + some Boost. I'm not exactly sure what the cap on Boost entries is. I think somebody said 4, but I'm not sure if that's per stake or total entries across all stakes.

Some of the things I completed for the challenges didn't show up right for the mission grinders. I should qualify for the weekly challenge. I did for the monthly challenge. I suck at tournaments anyway, but it must be a bit buggy. Has anyone else experienced this?

THX4YourChips is a beast. He won the iron man and will likely win the high hand leader board. If these challenges were to repeat themselves for a year and if he were to consistently win them, that would be $140,000 a year. That doesn't include the amount you win from the games by themselves. You also probably wouldn't be able to do anything but poker though which is quite the downside.

I went on massive tilt the other night and spewed $150 at the boost tables. Hopefully those who took my money spend/play with it wisely.

Hell no, its only getting worse. Ever since sites like wpn started policing their games, banning bots, and refunding players there has been a huge influx of bots at chico network.

Are you talking about the captchas the WPN regularly uses which do nothing to prevent bots that are regularly monitored by their operators? Are you talking about their banned bot list which hasn't been updated in over 7 months? Are you talking about the refunds that went to other known bot accounts and have since stopped being distributed after they changed software, as if somehow they've been bot-free ever since?

The WPN did small round of banning bot accounts after video of a malfunctioning MTT bot circulated through the poker community. In total, only 4 PLO cash games bots were ever on that banned list. The rest were MTT bots. They didn't do it for any other reason than to quell the outrage they received from that video.

The situation in NLHE cash games over here hasn't got any worse or better overall since they did that. If it got worse in any other game types then I haven't been made aware of that.

Yes there is a bot problem on this network, but if you think the WPN is doing a much better job over there with their bot problems than Chico is over here with theirs then I'm quite skeptical of your claim to say the least.

Yes i have experienced that multiple times. They expect you to track the hh's of when you accomplished the mission and spoon feed it to them. So they can go back and find it and credit to you. You know, just do their job for them.

2nd i'm pretty certain Thx4yourChips is also botting or taking shifts with another person on his account. Like Teotecan and Onpokaa were. Because his high hand leaderboard points calculate to about 20+ hours a day of playing 6 days straight. As of right now. So draw your own conclusion from that...

FYI Mike, onpoka still hasn't been banned.

The account's already built a massive lead on the High Hand Leaderboard b/c the account plays over 20 hours a day each and every day (either a bot or humans trading the account).

Every human player knows that they'll have no chance against a cheater account so the promo isn't gonna create any new action for your site nor will the reward money actually go to a legit account (and 1st place is 60% of the entire rewards for that promo).

I share their feelings. BOL used to be my favorite site and I was happy putting 99% of my action there. I'm not quite ready to leave but I am looking around and trying other options.

I know you guys are trying to improve the site, but so far, you have made things worse for most of your best customers. I have 411k VIP points this year so far(slow Jan with 2 weeks off). I expect that means I pay about 5-8k rake per month on average playing PLO+PLO8. With all that rake, my maximum potential rakeback through all promotions, challenges, and leaderboards combined is $0.

My chief issues(shared by all PLO players I'm sure):

VIP Points(I know you know)
Weekly cash rake race or something(anything!) for PLO players

PLO8 rake is so absurd that with no rakeback it's basically unplayable below 5/10.
