Yah, I'm currently in the process of getting bank accounts and such set up so I can explore other options.

Despite my complaining here, I've been a fan of Chico and a consistent player in their PLO games for probably 5 years. They do some things well and have lightning fast cashouts, which are appreciated.

The problem is that the way they've dealt with changes to rewards and VIP over the last 6 months has been downright pathetic and insulting to the players. I know Mike is our punching bag, but he probably isn't given the power to do or say much, so really the problem lies with Chico.

If you're going to cut rewards across the board, then fine, you have that option, but stop yanking the players around and just come out and say it. 6 months+ to decide on a VIP program is beyond ridiculous. I get the feeling they want to cut/scale back the program immensely, but don't want to announce it for fear of losing players. Same thing with rewards. SNG leaderboards were cut without notice, cash game rewards were taken away and changed. People like to plan things in advance and don't like the rug pulled out from under them. Any site that cared about their players would give a few weeks notice about big changes.

Finally it's frustrating that you can rake 10-15k in a month on the site and earn nothing in rewards. Meanwhile they've gone in a direction that basically only rewards a handful of microgrinders smart enough to game the system. I'm not hating on those guys, more power to them, but the current system is probably the least logical rewards system I've ever seen. It actively harms the ecosystem b/c now those micro NLHE games will be filled with mindless grinders looking for rewards and very few casual players will be moving up the ranks from .05/.10 NLHE. It doesn't reward players who are actually generating rake and filling the site coffers. It does nothing to build a healthy ecosystem.

I'm not saying they have to give all the money to the top rakers. If they had a system that distributed the vast majority back to a large group of casual players at the low limits, at least that's a system that makes sense and I could see the logic in it.

I'm sure this will probably fall on deaf ears, but felt it needed to be pointed out. Mike has only posted 1 time in the new year, in a period where you'd expect him to have been making a lot of announcements with all the changes taking place in the last week. It doesn't seem like we can count on any real communication between the players and Chico, which is what I'd hoped when the forums were opened.

Well said, I had 2 month break from grinding now I'm back and I have to say that is very, very veryy unfair for higher stakes gridners, to basicly cut them off from any sort of meaningfull rake race.

Hi Fossilkid93,

Some great points here and I will be using lots of them this week to help explain how some of the regs are feeling.
I believe I have said this many times but I am trying to help with the communication and make improvements in all areas.
Admittedly its difficult with some of the mistakes that we have made, to keep your trust in the system. However we have made good changes based on feedback from this community, and this year you will see more of this.

Good or bad I want all your feedback, I just hope it is all as constructive as this.

Many Thanks

Mike

For those of you guys outside the US and with real options as to where to play...

Why aren't you playing at RIO? Every issue chico fails at miserably, RIO seems to get right.

If I could play there, I would move the majority of my action over. Those of you repeatedly coming back and complaining who have this option are only contributing towards allowing chico to take advantage of the rest of who don't have this option.

Admittedly this would be better for me in the short term for many of the regs to move their action elsewhere, but in the long run it would be better for everybody as it would put chico in a situation where they are thrown into the deep end and forced to sink or swim.

Is there an active last of all the PLO BOTS BETWEEN 50/1000? Just recently started playing the CG on this site and don’t have much hands recorded.
Read through several pages but don’t see anyone keeping a running tab

Random question, but I am looking to get back into poker. For those that have played on WPN and Global, do you consider BetOnline cash games softer, tougher, or about the same than WPN and Global? Specifically for 25NL and lower. Just trying to get a feel of the player pools before depositing. Thanks.

Hi all!

What are your thoughts about this player: longin16 ? - playing fullring and sh cashgame on NL100.

I am quite sure he is a bot or using live solver/assistance software.

Could you provide some evidence or at least some reasons for your suspicions?

What is the cash games table cap? I read 8 on the forum. Chico support says 5...
01-14-2020 , 06:05 PM
Unless it was changed in the last few days then the cap for regular tables is 8 and has been at that cap for a couple of years now. You can also add additional entries for Boost cash games, though I'm not sure about the cap for Boost.
01-14-2020 , 06:08 PM
I can confirm it's 8. At least for PLO/PLO8.
01-14-2020 , 06:23 PM
The cap at boost tables is 4 I think.
01-14-2020 , 07:40 PM
Do you know if that is 4 entries per stake or the total cap across all stakes?

Thanks for the confirmation gents!

No more 10nl/10nlz boost/bbj?
01-17-2020 , 12:59 AM
It's there. The most likely scenario is that it's hidden from your view in the lobby. I made a post a few weeks back that the bottom-most table in the lobby was obstructed from view after an update. For whatever reason, that issue has still not been corrected. If you click on the stakes tab you can make the lobby list descend starting from the lowest stakes.

The other possibility is that you have Boost or BBJ tables filtered out in the filter settings.

Thank you. As you said, it's listed but not visible without reverse sorting the list of stakes/games.

@betonline Mike I sent you a p.m. regarding something urgent. I would appreciate you looking into it ASAP.

All my best,

DG

@betonline mike I'd PM you but it's not working for some reason. The last time I played on BOL, I lost a nice hand of quads to some guy. 8 hands later, I lose to the same guy again with quads. Same 9's as the first time. That's powerball odds and clearly not random.

What does BOL do to ensure fair random play and a bot free playing experience?

Private messaging is not working because you have a new account. Keep posting and it will eventually be enabled for you.

Out of all of things you could take issue with this network I'd say that the RNG should be the least of your concerns. I've played hundreds of thousands of hands on this network. If I thought the RNG was rigged I wouldn't still be playing here.

Your bot concerns have merit, but the bot issue is completely unrelated to your RNG concerns.

Hello Mike. I have bad news for you. You recently paid a portion of the jackpot 25K $ to bot 'Oleblade'. In connection with which I have a question - Would you like to take them back? It's certainly not sweety january 2018 not bot 'Tyrant' and not 270K USD, but still pretty big money.

And question number 2 if possible - seat script in your cash games is legal? If not why don't you fight them ?

Best regards, Joe
