account banned for multiple accounts any recourse (I don't have multiple accounts. ) account banned for multiple accounts any recourse (I don't have multiple accounts. )

Ok so I figured out why they banned me. I still do not agree with the decision and find it completely unfair.

Here's a timeline of events to explain this clearly.

I've had an account with these people for over ten years mind you. So if you think they respect loyal customers. Think again.

I loaded my account with funds from my phone.

I drove over to my brother's apartment to hang out and play poker and watch baseball.

I logged into my account on his laptop. My brother likes to gamble and apparently had many account with this site that have all been closed for one reason or another. He does not have an active account. At this point I didn't know he ever had an account with them.

I logged in played some pot limit and lost my money promptly.

I try to log in to my account yesterday to find it's been closed.

So pretty much if you use your own account at someone else's property your liable to just get shut down for supposed multi accounting.

I don't believe this is fair. Also they free rolled me in sense because if I won they were going to ban me either way. I tried escalating the case but they won't listen to me. They pretty much just saying I'm a scumbag cheater or something.

So here is the take away for you reading this. Be careful logging into your account from a device you don't normally use. They can take your money and ban the account.

Unfortunate ending because I liked playing here from time to time but they aren't the only game in town.

Not sujre how to made an edit but here is an update:

THanks to the betonline staff for breaching confidentiality of another one of their customers I was able to figure out exactly what had happened.

During my first phone call to them about my account suddenly being banned They had said that I had called them and closed it myself. The agent then said that I had told them that I was a degenerate gambler and cannot stop gambling by any means and that I pleaded with them to ban me for life.

This was very alarming to me since I had never said any of these things and surely that this was some kind of a mistake. They would not provide anymore information with me at that point and said that I shouldn't of told them to close my account.

Then I decided to just call right back and try the next person and see what they had to say.

During this phone call is where they said that I was banned apparently for having multiple accounts. I told them I most certainly did not have multiple accounts and had had the same account forever with them. They pretty much blew me off and said that was that.

Then I decided to call them back just one more time just to see if this person would give me anymore information. This time they told me at least 5 other account numbers and email addresses of what other accounts were now associated with me. Those would be my brothers.

So now here is where I put it all together. My brother apparently is a compulsive gambler in secret. He had made all kinds of accounts played blackjack sprots bets, you name it. Would lose a lot of money and then close his account. Then at some point HE called them and told them that he wanted to be banned from ever playing with them again. At this point they logged his IP address and followed through with his request. So pretty much with a few phone calls betonline.ag told me my brother is a compulsive gambler and out of control. I don't know about you guys, but I sure would not be happy if I was a compulsive gambler and if a website just went and told someone that information. In fact if it was based in America I would probably go after them for breach of confidentiality.

Also they still won't reinstate my account which is pretty annoying since I occasionally would play here, but in the end if a company doesn't wan your business what can you do. I will say the last woman I spoke with on the phone actually understood the whole story from start to finish and tried talking to her superior and still was unable to get anywhere and said she was sorry about the whole thing. Sorry about my account being banned, sorry about them telling me about my brothers gambling problem.

I don't really know what else to say other than I'm totally shocked at the way this whole situation has played out, and a bit disgusted.

You do realize pretty much nobody who reads this will believe that your brother, and not you, was responsible for this situation?

Let's say we suspend our disbelief for a moment. Even if it was actually your brother, you should be more mad at him for this situation than anything else. You mean to tell me that you were at your brother's place, playing poker on his laptop and you didn't have any communication about what you were doing the entire time? And during those conversations he didn't mention the issues he's had with the site and that it's probably not a good idea for you to be playing on the site while using his laptop?

I would call this a lesson learned on your part and not anything the site has done wrong.

Yeah I guess you're right my brother should have disclosed to me that he has a massive gambling problem and that if I happen to be playing poker on Betonline that I might want to think twice since he called them previously and had his account shut down because he's a problem gambler.

Also pretty cool of the site to out him though. Gotta say he's super thrilled that I found out about his problem this way. He wanted to keep his gambling problem a secret too, but the cat is out of the bag on that one now. Way to go keeping the confidentiality there betonline!

So why should the site ban me though? It's his request to ban himself from gambling/playing poker on their site. I do not have the same problem he does. I sure do wish he had told me that he had put in this request with them and I never would of logged in that night obviously. But ultimately its pretty insane to ban another person because someone else has a gambling problem.

I don't see why someone elses request to stop them from playing on their site should affect my account.

"even if it was actually your brother," Kind of interesting that you think I would come on here and create some complex story like this. I mean really what would I have to gain from that? I get where he is coming from. He didn't want me to find out about this problem. I don't know if you know anything about compulsive gamblers, but they keep their whole life a giant secret so if this kind of behavior is surprising to you, look into it.

And the only lessons I've learned here so far are as follows:
Only use your own equipment to play on any site.

Don't expect support on these sites to believe a word you say.

Don't expect to have your privacy on sites, since clearly they are willing to openly give away information to other people.

I guess maybe don't trust anyone.

I would probably be more mad if this was a site I played primarily on. Thankfully it isn't. I am in good standing with literally ever other poker site that allows US players and have been since pokerstars launched in the early 2000's.

Sure, OK, let's continue with this charade.

He doesn't have to disclose his gambling problem to you. People without gambling problems get banned from sites too. He just has to be a decent person and let you know that it's not a good idea to play from his place because he isn't allowed to play there. He can make up whatever lie he wants to give to you for the reason why.

You played from his laptop and can't see why that's an issue? You're banned because access to the site was prohibited from his place. What stops him from playing on your account from his laptop?

This isn't a complex story by any means. I've heard this same story, with slightly different details, dozens, if not hundreds, of times. Even if it's true, so many before you have tried this same excuse that you're just going to be assumed guilty by everybody reading it until you can prove your innocence beyond any reasonable doubt.

What you have to gain is your account being reinstated and if they don't do that then you're at least trying to make them look bad, but you have yet to prove that they've done anything wrong.

I've been reading this website for over a decade. I'm confident I have a good understanding of what it means to be a compulsive gambler.

When you can think about the situation more clearly and less emotionally I'm sure there's a few more, more important lessons you can learn from this experience.

Just out if curiosity. What do you think I'm lying about here ? You must have some serious trust issues or something. I barely ever played on this site. Maybe like 5 sessions in the last 5 years. I don't care if they reinstate my account at this point.

Definitely trying to make them look bad though. You're right about that.

Also what would it take to prove my innocence? Seriously good lord.
