I appreciate the responsiveness and am really glad BoL operates with that as a priority. I'd say my main gripes with the new tournaments is the large amount of early levels with no antes, I really enjoyed the antes from level 1 that a lot of the old tournaments had. Is there any chance of bringing that back?

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Tournaments Thread

Unfortunately I will no longer be playing the $3 and $5 tournaments that generally start at 3:30pm, 4:30pm, etc. with the new structures.

These tournaments always played faster than other sites' standard-speed tournaments and in fact BOL tournaments basically play closer to a turbo compared to other sites. So I really don't understand the need to slash the starting stacks from 5k down to 2k, other than a sneaky effort to compel players to double-buy and double-rebuy. Without the initial add-on, a starting stack will be around 25bb by the start of level 3 (20mins). And the new shallow structure of these tournaments also forces you to do the add-on whereas before you could sometimes skip it with a big enough stack.

These tournaments use to be great well-structured $5 buy-in with nice prizepool, but they have essentially become a $5+$5+$5 buy-in with a near-hyper structure and the same prize pool.

I just feel the changes to these tournaments' structures were too drastic and they are essentially now all hyper tournaments.

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Tournaments Thread

I agree man, they messed with a lot of the structures in tournaments I play ($5-$55) and now once you are final 2 tables or final table the avg stack is around 15bbs with half the field at 10bb or less. Pretty much turbo structures at the end of most tournaments now on this site. There are still a few that are pretty good but ive decided to cut about 50% of volume on this site since they made the recent "improvements." Sad really, I loved this site before. Everything theyve done in the past 2 months has been a fail.

Hey Mike - really enjoying the new tournament schedule and think it’s improved dramatically for the midstakes players. Great variety of tournaments and only thing I’d like to see is that big tournament series schedule coming up

I like the new 109 freezeout, 55 6max, all super cool! The structure of the 109 fo and rebuy is super bad though. We all had 15bb remaining 4 in the 109 fo last night, was just coinflip heaven and would prefer to have 25-30bb there. Thanks for listening!

You can say you promise you are working really hard to make improvements but your actual actions say otherwise. Stop patronizing us. Its obvious what's going on here: You make the rebuy structures worse so you can milk more rebuys, the late game in 90% of mtts is now a 10-15bb crap shoot, and we still have yet to see anything regarding our player points.

You guys are taking every little edge you can get and I personally don't think it will be sustainable. Of course you have the right to do whatever you want to do as a business, but don't come on here and think you are fooling anyone at this point.

Oh and bots are still rampant in the cash games...Cant even play a plo game without multiple bots at the table.

Sorry for the negative tone, but at least its more realistic than your false narrative.

SO MUCH THIS, BOL and the Chico network are a bunch of frauds taking advantage of the unregulated poker environment and doing whatever they can to increase their margins. There have been countless questions into the VIP structure, the tournament structure, the bot issues, and even withdraw problems with no concrete response ever except for these thinly veiled "promises" from BetOnlineMike. It's been a continual issue and I'd highly recommend taking your action elsewhere.

I don't think they're frauds. What evidence do you have to suggest that?

I agree with the criticism of their handling of the VIP points program. The change was poorly communicated and it is taking way longer to implement than it should have taken. I see no reason why they couldn't have allowed us to continue buying into MTTs until the new uses were available.

I don't play many MTTs, but I've seen enough feedback to believe it's a work in progress that's not ever going to please everybody. Not every MTT player desires the same structures. The best they can do is offer a wide variety of MTTs and add a higher percentage of the most requested structures.

I addressed your bot issues in the other thread, but the situation has definitely improved in the NLHE cash games recently.

I've seen very few complaints about withdrawals. I'm not saying any of the few I've seen weren't valid, but to add that in as a widespread issue would be incorrect.

Where would you suggest? I bet I can name bigger and worse issues with anywhere else available as an option for most players in the USA.

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Tournaments Thread

And shortsighted.

I thought most of your criticism seemed pretty valid. Plus I don't play many MTTs or any PLO to be able to disagree with anything you said.

I'm sure if I regularly played MTTs I'd voice my opinion about wanting an increase in the structures I'd prefer. I'm also sure I'd be just as vocal about the PLO cash game bots, as I am with the NLHE cash games, if I was a regular in those games.

I'd like to see everything improved to make everybody happy, but I know that most poker site changes almost always move at a snail's pace. I'm just happy when I have a stable client to play on where I can identify my opponents and see players removed when they're not playing by the rules. That's not always the case here, but I think, and hope, it is improving. Any additional features and benefits are just a bonus for me. I also understand why other people choose not to play here as their offerings are not good enough for every type of player at this time.

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Tournaments Thread

Hey Mike - any update on the tournament series coming up in November and when we may see a schedule? I would encourage you guys to release as soon as you can to build some hype and get satellites started. One thing the weekend main events could really use is some non-hyper turbo satellites and I think getting a good satellite structure in place for any series is really important.

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Tournaments Thread

Hoping one of you may be able to help me out with a question regarding satellite tickets. If you win multiple satellite tickets to the same event how does that work? Can you use the 2nd ticket for a reentry if necessary? If unused, do you get T$ for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
FL_Poker_J

Are there no tournaments running today? Just logged on and the only tournaments being offered are comp points freerolls?

So none of the events are during the week? Everything is crushing the guarantees. Crushing by a lot. Why not ramp up things for the next couple months. There been such a surge with online poker because most people can’t go to work and are stuck home. The bigger bounty buy ins crushed the gaurantees. Why not keep these a regular thing?

I might be dumb, but it doesn't appear that the schedule is viewable. It's not on the website, it's not in the lobby. I like to plan my playing schedule and not knowing what games are going to run until the day of is kind of a deterrent. Any chance we can get a schedule somewhere?
