No change yet. Top 4 (at least) this week so far are just grinding out hyper HUs.

They had a similar stupid setup for cash games as of a couple weeks ago. Basically rewarding the people who were grinding out micro limits and not the ones actually paying rake. The good news is that eventually they remedied it. The bad news is that they move agonizingly slow and it took several months to react even though players kept pointing out to them how stupid the old format was.

Sounds like a good reason for SNG players to support my last post. This is a microstakes promotion and not the best fit for the site.

So, before the **** hits the fan....you have a $3 tournament that says 500 guaranteed but the prize pool is $5000 right now. Might want to fix that before the tournament starts.

I think we should merge all BetOnline threads into one. My God, what a pain in the ass it is to go between them all. I can't remember which posts I've read and which ones I haven't. I can't be alone in this either.

Looks like they stopped HU games from scoring leaderboard points. No sign yet that they'll take back points already earned.

So how does someone get top 3 on these leaderboards on sit and gos? Basically play all sngs that are at least 7s and play lot of volume? What is the most tables you can play at once?

what happened to the 9 handed sit n goes? I left the site for a few months, i come back and there is no 9man sngs above $15. I see they have added PKO sit n goes which seems cool, why can't there be 9 handed PKO sngs? Not everyone likes 6max, I in fact hate 6 max

Apologies if this isn't the right place, but I wanted to ask about the state of SNGs on BetOnline. Basically the lockdown got me back into online poker, started with WSOP since I'm in Nevada but traffic is obviously very little there. The only games that run with regularity are 4-handed blast games. A handful of regulars and plenty of fish, but the rake plus tournament structure means that it's virtually impossible to be above 0% ROI even after rakeback/bonuses unless you hit the 1-in-25k or 1-in-250k multipliers, and beyond that it's variance city.

I've read up on BetOnline, but what can be said about the state of SNGs there? I'm interested in playing the $15 or $30 Windfall games. Do they run with regularity? Are there problems with bots or colluders in these games? What's a good 1st/2nd/3rd distribution for Windfalls? Do they qualify for the SNG leaderboard mentioned above?

Very much so. I raked more than most people who finished in the top 10 last week and I think I finished in the 40's. Current formula is very broken and isn't even in BOL's best interest. I'd happily fire more games here if there was some incentive. $30 and $60 players aren't going to sit in infinite $1 games to compete in the leaderboard.

$1.50 6-max Hyper PKOs are what's been missing from my life. Seriously though, PKO hypers are really fun.

Ive been saying this for weeks now.

BOL is best USA software out there and then they table limit and then give all the promo money to guys why are playing 60-70 hours a week of $1 games to just try and get leaderboard money. I usually finish in the 10-20 spots and always rake more than anyone top 5 its comical.

Ive emailed support and posted here that most grinders are gunna play their 12+ tables no matter what and having to split the games among BOL and other sites is not only annoying for the player, but the table limit is stupid for the site. would you rather get 8 tables of rake from me or 16?

we are in the midst of a "poker boom" and all you did was limit yourself and your players with these changes. theres no reason BOL shouldnt have more traffic than ACR. bad management at this point.

one problem is that those heads up sngs really clog up the sit n go menu, with the same regs/bots just getting the action

The 8-table cap for 6man SNG just doesn't make any sense. We end up in this scenario all the time...we have 4 games running and can't register another game because we are pre-registering other games so they eventually run. In order to get closer to the table cap we have to unregister what usually is a higher buy-in game to register for a lower buy-in game that is about to open. This is just too much work. In reality the table cap is more like 4-5 if you're not grinding $1 games. Please increase the number of games we can have open and registered at the same time to at least 12 if your intention is 8.

This is just an unnecessary headache for your players that start games who aren't playing $1 games

The SNG leaderboard is atrocious and needs a lot of work or even a massive overhaul. Right now it's just whoever plays the most micro stake hypers

Either the rake paid points needs to be increased MASSIVELY or it needs to be a straight rake based leaderboard

Looking at sharkscope 2nd place only plays $1.5 hypers/ko hypers. (1st place sharkscope isn't available)

What is the SNG volume/lobbies looking like? Hypers vs reg speeds vs turbos?

I'm thinking about moving over full time to BOL (I grind reg speeds and turbos -- 6mans and 9mans on global up to $218s)

Do non hyper players have a shot at the leaderboard? (I currently rake top 5ish on global for SNGs)

Action up to $60s. No, non-hyper players have no shot and at the buyins you play you don't either unless you are willing to drop down to microstakes.

The SNG LB appears to be a set of pure rake races now, with separate prize pools for each buyin level.
