Can anyone advise me what's the best site to play on as a UK based player? Is my only option Tiger gaming?
11-29-2020 , 07:08 PM
Only the BetOnline website currently mentions UK players being restricted from playing there. Neither the TigerGaming nor the SportsBetting websites mention anything about UK player restrictions.

*It's best to check with the sites prior to signing up. Websites can sometimes be slow to update their information after each change in policy.

I mean, some of them join very fast, but there's some people clearly just joining manually

Hows the bot/collusion situation on BO vs say like ACR?
12-07-2020 , 08:46 PM
The bot situation has been substantially improved on this network in the last few months. The most common NLHE cash game bot profile that plagued several networks, including this one and WPN/ACR, has pretty much disappeared from the NLHE cash games on this network. I used to be able to spot multiple at multiple tables at almost all times. I haven't spotted a single one in weeks.

I don't know anything about collusion on either network, though I've never suspected it to be a significant issue in this network's NLHE cash games.

Thanks. I am looking for a place to just have fun and play as an American without being cheated. I like to play PLO and it seemed on ACR it was a constant struggle to have players playing together, sharing cards. That’s a huge disadvantage in plo obviously.

What stakes PLO do you play? I play up to $100 PLO on BoL. Used to play a ton of $10 and $25 PLO earlier this year and there was tons of bots. With the recent bot farm that got outed/banned, the situation is much better. There are definitely plenty of spazzers and calling at microstakes PLO though on BoL. Can't speak on collusion, but honestly, I wouldn't worry about it based on how the average player plays at these stakes. If you're anywhere close to competent at PLO, you'll do great at PLO on BoL. Only thing is the variance, of course, depending on the makeup of your table.

The software is also very good. Usually can find multiple tables from all stakes of $10 PLO up to $1,000 PLO.

A few cheeky bots have tried to make their way back into PLO200+ but for the most part they are all gone.

When they do pop up most regulars are good at spotting and reporting them. BOL has been quite impressive at cleaning up the games recently.

Why is it so complicated to ban scripts?

Having an effective scripts require the ability to observe tables, that way as soon as a recreational players sit it sits you right beside him. If you cant observe multiple tables, your script become useless.

One easy fix would be as soon as you open a table, you have 15 sec to sit otherwise the table close. This way scripters cant stack all the starting tables and cant wait for people to sit.

That's it, seating scripts gone.

Hi all,

I am sure many of you are aware but we have launched a variety of daily cash races for you guys.

$1000 top 10 NL Players
$500 top 10 PLO
$250 top 10 SNG players
$150 yop 10 Boost players

Everybody is awarded points by rake. so 1 dollar in rake is 1 point.

I am hoping there will be some for windfalls too today but not 100% as of yet.

Kind regards

Mike

Ye, thank you, me unblocked now - "In order to maintain the integrity of our games, these reviews are necessary to ensure that our players understand and abide by our rules.

Your account has now been reopened in good standing. Please note that use of seating scripts or other prohibited software may result in table restrictions or account closure."

But was very worried

Not sure if this is the correct thread for this post...

There's an issue that I see pop up from time to time thats a little annoying, I'm sure the others in here who start tables as well have seen it. Last night I opened a 6 max table, and 2 players sat on my direct left pretty much at the same time a minute or so after I opened the table. I was given the button like anyone who opens a table normally is, but I was not dealt into the hand because I hadnt posted any blinds yet. While said hand was going on, 2 more people sat on my right. They posted the next 2 blinds, and I had to wait until my bb to get dealt in unless I wanted to post in before (which, why would I pay 1.5 bbs for 2 hands when I am going to pay it again shortly after). So essentially I opened the table and got the action going, but had to wait 3 hands to actually be dealt in. It doesnt really make sense to me why the person who starts the table gets punished and has to wait while the others who join late get to play right away. I know they are technically posting blinds before me, but my thing is I should be dealt in on the first hand since I was the first one at the table. Just seems wrong to me to punish people are arent afraid to start tables, which should be a good thing for the site long term.

I think its as simple as starting heads up with the first 2 players who sit, and making the 3rd wait until the 2nd hand if they really want to make sure everyone has at least posted a blind. If anything it favors the scripters and bum hunters right now which isnt how it should be. I know that it could be a potential issue with the first person only posting a small blind in the first orbit, but to me that seems way more fair than making that person sit out potentially 3 hands all because they were the first one there.

Hi Mike,

Wanted to know a little more about the traffic on the network.

What are some peak times for plo cash games 200plo?

Is this something you can check the data on and post here? If not, pm me? (Sorry i cant send pms since my account is new)

Essentially looking for 3-4 3hr ET time slots where traffic peaks in the plo games (200 plo) so i can concentrate on putting in some volume then

Thanks in advance

Volvo0013 is probably using a script, Im a casual (not good) PLO player and he keeps insta sitting to my left when I sit. I think this is scripting right? Please look into this BetOnline rep thank you.

Its like within a second or so, its the closest seat to my direct left, I've tried a couple of things.

I totally agree with this suggested change.

Table starters are sometimes punished by the current algorithm. There are times when you are sitting at a table, either alone or with a player sitting across from you who is sat out, and then a recreational player sits down and the table fills up. A few hands get played and the recreational player loses their stack, all too often to a seating script user, and the game breaks before you've even been dealt in. And sometimes you even pay your BB with the one or two remaining players and then they instantly leave before you've gotten the chance to play a second hand.

I have the option selected to wait till in the big blind to post my first blind. Periodically when I get sat the client doesn't let me wait, I am forced to insta post. Please pass this along.

I posted about that issue about a year and a half ago in the Software Improvements & Features Thread.

Since it wasn't getting addressed I decided to never auto-buy-in. Unfortunately that means sometimes I miss my chance to get a seat if I'm focused on something else, but it's better than posting big blinds in early positions when I sit in automatically off of a wait list when that's never my intention.

No response from anyone affiliated with betonline on this??? Literally am typing this as I wait to be dealt in after I started a table and had 3 people join right after me....
