Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Cash Games Thread

the bots always come back - the bot programmers just update their software to battle Chico's updates. That's why banning specific accounts is the best move...

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Cash Games Thread

tonight's BOL players using scripts:
Gulkines - also was last night
Kerpachopro - also was last night
Gucci&Gabbana - also was last night
doctor Lie - also was last night
Pachiila25 - first timer
It's funny, I just started studying cyber security this month to try to get involved in the field. Maybe instead of playing tables they could just hire me on here. Busting the bots and script using players on BOL could be my dream job

I know that you just started identifying and listing the seating script users, but the label of "first timer" for Pachiila25 is pretty hilarious to me. That account has been seat scripting for years now.

The afternoon script users I found today: if_elsethen, Brejcha, szalai, bseuegor, WEFKNBALL. there's a couple of repeat offenders in there. I saw a user called supertrumper in all caps who i didn't notice doing anything wrong i should clarify right off the bat! such a tilt-inducing name, brilliant I'm actually jealous lol. built in +ev. i salute you whoever you are

Have you ever contacted me for my bot list and guide? Are you in the Chico Network Discord group? Both of those would be a good place to start.

Good job for putting in that effort to get the BBJ players their funds Mike
Indeed, this effort literally paid off.

In all seriousness, I am curious to see what the critics of BOL & BOL Mike say going forward. While there are many steps left, this was one huge step in the right direction.

It's late, but to BetOnline Mike & his team, thank you so much for helping DevoGKT and literally dozens of other players!

I mean, it's cool I guess that they paid this BBJ out, congrats to the winners. This is an isolated, totally separate issue from BOL's huge and glaring problems.
What will we say now? The same exact stuff.

Rake is too high (esp with the BBJ rake)
No rakeback
No reload bonuses
VIP Points worthless
Bots galore

Not to mention the BBJ itself is a scam. They siphon off millions of dollars with this 'promotion' and then pay back out only a fraction of it each time it hits. Note the 15% 'administrative fee' they pocket each time (which for a 500k BBJ is $75,000!) and then they take another huge cut of it to 'reseed'. So the money they take just keeps rolling over and paying out to the site in huge chunks. It's a straight up scam. Either pay out the entire BBJ or don't fund it with rake.

I'm not saying you don't have some very valid points, but the administration fee was actually reduced to 5% a while back. I was a very vocal critic when it was raised mid-promotion at one point when the jackpot near a million dollars. I am in favor of slightly lowering the reseed amount.

Bad Beat Jackpot Promotion

Quote:
PAYOUT SHARES
  • 20% player with Bad Beat
  • 15% winner of the hand
  • 12.5% players at the table
  • 12.5% players at other BBJ tables
  • 35% reseed
  • 5% fee

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Cash Games Thread

went to sit at a 6handed table with 5 players and missed by a second. went to click on the waiting list and it was already 8 players long!!! this is clearly not improving. it would be very easy to send these players warnings at least. some of you have clearly done a lot of work on this and bots before I was here. since BOL Mike is obviously doing all he can, my logic is that someone higher up is ok with things the way they are. therefore it seems unlikely to improve soon. withdrawing my money for now but will keep an eye in here as im still looking forward to playing when its not overrun someday. sweet first time poker bonus too, they are definitely doing a lot of stuff right, including paying out the Bad Beat disconnect <3

Re: BetOnline.ag Poker: Cash Games Thread

I don't think it's that they're completely OK with it. I think it's that they just don't have effective automated methods of detection at their disposal, don't have employees with the right expertise consistently monitoring the games for it and would rather not pay for either of these things, and thus, aren't demanding that it be remedied as quickly as possible.

I think the sites on the network rent the poker software from a 3rd party supplier. There is at least one other network which uses the same software. I forget which one that is.

The problem might be the fact that the supplier of the software doesn't give much of a s*** about players who are using prohibited software, but they're the only ones with the ability to implement the tools to detect it. It might be that the sites only have the ability to suspend/ban accounts and can only ask for the software supplier to implement different things. This is all speculation on my part.

The high rake, lack of rakeback and the removal of rewards points on the network all sucks ass, but there's nothing that consistently makes me consider taking my action elsewhere like the bots and the seating script users do.

That is just infuriating. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of them are seating script users too. Table blocking is not as big of a problem as bots and seating scripts, but these players are all frequent offenders.

Ah thanks, I recalled it being 15 last time I checked (not that long ago). Still a ton of money taken out of the games but not nearly as bad as I thought.

Very likely assumptions, would make a lot of sense. We said it differently but I think we meant the same thing. By ok with it I really meant the negatives don't outweigh the positives of just sitting back for them. Otherwise why not warn or suspend the accounts? NINzent put in the work to identify some bots already, they wouldn't even have to hire anyone. I did the easiest work of writing down the names that popped up on tables faster than humanly possible in response to my sitting. It would take so little.

I wouldn't be too impressed. I think this was only paid out because they felt massive social pressure, particularly from Joey Ingram. "Doing the right thing" in this one instance is just so out of line with the way any other issue has ever been dealt with in the last few years I've been playing here

Hi SSC-R,

I personally think you should be aware of all the facts before stating your thoughts on the BBJ.

This is not my words but I also know them to be true, as I was the one who accidentally posted in the forum early encouraging Devo to post our message.

Kind regards

Mike

I think you would find out that the decision to award the BBJP started very early in saga. To their behalf, OP received an email from a higher up mgmt person discussing a resolution prior to any activity on Twitter.
I think BOL was pretty much on this from the beginning. They stated, with certainty, the disconnect was not on their end and logs would back them up. They also said they understood OP's position and were seeking the best resolution possible.
BOL was working on making this right probably 24 hours or so after the hand actually happened. I think on this issue, they handled it exceptionally well and with total class. A lot took place prior to it blowing up here and on Twitter. Fair to get on them for the reward points, but have to give them credit, in a big way, on this. This decision came from pretty high up there. Kudos to them for doing it.

Interesting take you have. I should discard the fact that I was involved, directly, from the night devo first posted it and aware of the emails they sent him after the one from CS and from mgmt of another dept, including what they said and the timestamp.

You must be pretty plugged in, or just someone with another tactless based opinion.

Well done.

Hello Mike,

Can u be a little more specific about "near future", does it has any TIME FRAME? If yes, could u tell us the dates of that "near future"?

I have reported with many evidences 10 bots more than 3 weeks ago, will it be surprise for anyone that everyone of them are still playing on everyday basis?

How long will it take to investigate it? For me it's extremely weird, cause 9 of them playing ONE STYLE, EXACTLY ONE STYLE.
So im really curious why it takes SO MUCH time for u "security team" to investigate it.

there is a good chance the player "fish2805" is bloodywolf, a guy who got multiple accounts banned because he is using a realtime solver, try your best to avoid him, especially shorthanded/HU, he plays 500 & 1k nl 6max

Also, since this happened a few times I want to add, especially the people that werent around when bloodywolf was still playing:
bloodwolf (without the "y"), which is me, is in no way related to bloodywolf
When I made my account the HU lobby on Chico was king of the hill and bloodywolf was the one holding it (it seems like his ingame solver back then only was working for heads-up), so I gave myself a similar name like him. It ended up not mattering, since they changed the HU tables to anonymous within a few days and within a month completely removed them. When it was evident that bloodywolf was a cheater I asked chico for a namechange to avoid confusion, but they denied.

I agree that there is a high probability that it's him again on this fish2805 account now. The account exhibits most of the same characteristics of the previous 3 in my limited observation of their play so far.
