I guess that's a pretty good point and I hadn't thought of it. I usually take people at their word when I'm not at the poker tables, unless I have reason to believe I probably shouldn't.
05-28-2020 , 06:07 PM
Guys, by making outrageous games like "BOL having house bots" and "they monitored the game and disconnected him on purpose" you are discrediting valid points like "they could have handled this a lot better" or "their security team is very unresponsive and poor when it comes to dealing with bots" or "the VIP point system is a disaster"

And I agree it would be cool if there would be a way to hide them like the balance, becasuse it sometimes is a little depressing to look at
05-28-2020 , 06:38 PM
Brand new to BOL cash games. I'm very confused as to what I'm seeing. There will be 2 regs at the table for a while, sitting out. All of a sudden the table will be instantly filled. If there is someone I want to play against, and I enter the waiting list, I will still be third. This seems impossible to play?

Those guys are using seating scripts, which is software that monitors tables and instantly joins as soon as an unknown player joins the table. They also automatically join a waiting list if a table is full. They do not have any effect during the game itself, but are still pretty annoying.
They are not allowed on BetOnline, but unfortunately the site does not have a good track record so far fighting forbidden software

This means in order to secure yourself a seat in the current environment you have to play the people who are open sitting
05-28-2020 , 07:03 PM
Should state that seating scripts are really only an issue at the higher stakes. Much less common the lower in stakes you go.

Dear shara02,

On Saturday, May 22nd, at 10:44pm ET, another player was disconnected from a hand that would have triggered the Bad Beat Jackpot.*After an in-depth review, it has been determined that the connection was dropped on the player's end and that our software performed correctly, as expected and per the stated terms and conditions of the promotion.*

However, given the extraordinarily rare circumstances of this happening while having a qualifying Bad Beat Jackpot winning hand, we have decided to credit the equivalent of the jackpot cash to all qualifying players at the Bad Beat Jackpot tables, as if it would have been triggered at the time of the hand.*

The Bad Beat Jackpot was at*$349,046.26*at the time of the hand.**We will pay out the prize pool to all qualifying players as an extraordinary exception and let the current Bad Beat Jackpot continue to grow as if it had not been triggered at all.*The following players have been credited as follows:

·********BBJ Winner:*shkarina*($69,809.25)

·********Winner of the hand:*Devowned*($52,356.94)

·********Players sitting at the table:*emperorK,*shara02,*hiphoppanda*($14,543.59 each)

We are pleased to inform you that your account has been credited with $14 543,59.*

Please note that this will reflect in your main BetOnline account, not your poker balance.*If you wish to play poker with these funds, you will need to transfer it to your poker balance from the poker cashier.

All other qualified players that were playing at other Bad Beat Jackpot tables will be credited in the next 12-24 hours.*

We hope that you are pleased with our decision.**We appreciate you making the smart choice to play at BetOnline.**We stand behind our commitment to you and the other players in our community to always do our best to ensure a fair and secure environment.

BetOnline has earned an outstanding reputation over the past 20+ years that we’ve been in business. We hope this further proves our track record as being dedicated to putting fairness and our players’ best interests first.

So they actually decided to pay!
Thanks, BOL!

Can't wait to see everyone that was shitting on them all of a sudden reverse their decision...unless that email is fake, but kind of hard to fake that.

Thanks for excellent explanation. If I were to purchase one of these scripts, how does it decide who gets in first if all these players already have it? I feel like if they dont have a way to stop it now then they probably won't anytime soon.

lol you are like the definition of "drunk on being a sheep"

Yeah, I just made that up right now. But that's what all your posts show.

Claiming BOL has house bots is nothing near an outrageous claim. What is more outrageous is they still keep these house bots around bc they apparently are in desperate need of money.

They couldn't have "handled it better or differently" (also going against CHI here)

They handled it absolutely ****ing perfectly because their goal the entire time was exactly what the outcome was. Meaning, it was planned from the top down to achieve the exact results they achieved. Leadership wanted to steal the money they owed you through the VIP points system so instead of giving you the ability to use the points, they took that away from you, which is stealing. It worked perfectly.

"Their security team is very unresponsive or poor with dealing with the bots"

Again, you are drunk on being a sheep. Haven't you been reading anything we have been writing?

Let me tell you what happens. The security team sends their data and personal recommendations to someone above them - someone who has a list of which bot accounts are acceptable to ban and which are not. If they aren't "house" bots, they very clearly are grandfathered into this position considering many of them have been known for 4 to 5 years or more at this point.

Then what happens is the leadership guy tells the security team what their next plan of action should be. This plan of action does not in any way involve the banning of the majority of those bot accounts.

The fraud and security team now understand what their role in the illegal enterprise is, without having to be told directly. They now begin to stop looking into bot accounts altogether because when they actually did this in the beginning of their new job positions, their results were shot down each and every time.

That is what happened.

nah, it was the obvious correct decision - the only thing they have earned is not having more negative ticks against them. They don't get any girl scout brownie points for this act. It doesn't take away at all from the triple thievery of the rake, VIP points and house bots.

Congrats to everybody involved!

Major props to BetOnline and the Chico Network for not even using the current jackpot to pay it out! The current jackpot will remain intact.

It depends on who has the best ping during the moment where the player joins that triggers the script

No problem Im just really happy for you and your family

** Update STORY TIME and Outcome**

So as you all know by now BetOnline has put the correct and total
amount of money in my account. When this first happened I honestly
thought my chance of resolution was less than 0%. It took so much not
to pick up my laptop and smash it against the wall. Then again it
wouldn't be the first bad beat I've taken just definitely the most
expensive in poker for me. So I chilled out the best I could brought
up the Hand history and recorded. Obviously still pissed that was the
only thing I could think of. From there I posted my first hastily and
poorly written thread on the NVG forums. That's when 2p2 "A dewd" DMed
me on here.

He told me he worked with BetOnline and he would work to get me in
contact with the right people. So between that and Bobo Fett saying
maybe we should hold up on blasting it all over NVG I agreed and told
him to lock the original thread.

"A dewd" Invited me into his discord "Degenaments"
https://discord.gg/rMXMryQ (open to anyone who want's to join just PM
deuces when u get there) and everyone in there helped walk me through
this process. Even after I got the first email from BOL saying it was
out of their control and it wasn't on their end Dewd kept talking to
me, walking me through what the next step would be.

So I did another right up now for NVG in hopes to getting it back out
to the masses and that our community NVG hero ChicagoJoey would catch
wind of it and help a casual out. I won't lie I had a mini heart
attack when the Bill Perkins and Jungleman **** started happening. I
thought for sure I would get buried. Sure enough though the opposite
happened. I tweeted the thread to Joey and within an hour he was
tweeting about it. Everything happened so fast after that. Between
Dewd on 2p2/discord and Joey on twitter before I knew it I was talking
to multiple people at BetOnline who weren't even involved in the poker

Also to clarify a twitter user @ Dave and Adam for me he's a sports better on BOL and is on twitter as @Reg_Da_goat Truly a huge thank you to everyone!

** BetOnlines Official email to me **

Dear Brandon,

As you’re probably aware, our Bad Beat Jackpot is a very structured promotion and is governed entirely by our independently-audited software, as well as the Terms and Conditions that are transparently posted on our website.

After an in-depth review of the matter at hand, we have confirmed that our software and servers performed correctly and as expected. Any connection issues that you experienced were indeed the result of connectivity issues on your end and were outside of our control.

However, after reviewing your hand, we have concluded that what occurred while you were playing – your hand qualifying for the Bad Beat Jackpot and your connection dropping during that hand – is a highly unlikely and rare scenario. That said, we have chosen a path of generosity and will make an exception in this case that we feel is appropriate in such a rare occasion. As such, we will be crediting the equivalent of the jackpot cash to all qualifying players at the Bad Beat Jackpot tables, as if it would have been triggered at the time of your hand.

The Bad Beat Jackpot was at $349,046.26 at the time of the hand. We will pay out the prize pool to all qualifying players as an extraordinary exception and let the current Bad Beat Jackpot continue to grow as if it had not been triggered at all. The following players have been credited as follows:

· BBJ Winner: shkarina ($69,809.25)

· Winner of the hand: Devowned ($52,356.94)

· Players sitting at the table: emperorK, shara02, hiphoppanda ($14,543.59 each)

The remaining players at other Bad Beat Jackpot tables will be credited in the next 12-24 hours.

We hope that you are pleased with our decision. We appreciate you making the smart choice to play at BetOnline. We stand behind our commitment to you and the other players in our community to always do our best to ensure a fair and secure environment.

Did they get rid of some bots in the past few days? Last night and today I’ve seen none of the usual bots that play the 25nl games.

It's not fair that new BOL members only have access to two good regs in the player pool(at the very least at $5/10, only level I was interested in playing). BOL knows this and has banned the use of scripts, as Ninzent explained to me. Now it just needs to be enforced. As a brand new player this was easy to investigate. I just fake sat down at tables a bunch of times. The same players were all at the table and in the waiting list faster than humanly possible: Gulkines, Kerpuchopro, Gucci&Gabbana, doctor Lie, Sept. Same order every time too. BetOnlineMike could you send these players a warning or do you have contact with someone that could make this possible?

This is being looked into and recently some accounts using seating scripts were banned. Ninzent and Mchaitown have provided us with loads of information regarding this subject and other players using prohibited software.

I am hoping you guys will notice a large difference in the near future.

Please feel free to contact me with any more information regarding this.

Kind regards

Mike

That's awesome, appreciate that Site looks great, looking forward to playing. I'll keep up the reporting as long as it lets me. This afternoon's scripters are if_elsethen, BigFatMops, Cap1tal1sm, DieTryin, and bseuegor.

Hmmm. I just looked and did not see as many, although there were a couple. Hopefully it sticks. Interesting timing with the BBJ controversy

There does appear to have been a massive bot purge. I've counted 27 suspected players NL10-100 that are now non-existant all since exactly 3-4 days ago. @BetOnline Mike, can you confirm a purge was done?
05-29-2020 , 06:33 PM
Unfortunately they are still around at 500&1k
Getting sunrun by two bots that I reported with lots of evidence over a month ago is very discouraging

I can confirm all the names JonCash31 are scripting, but unfortunately the list of scripters is very long and I really would prioritize the bot issue, but maybe Im biased
05-29-2020 , 09:59 PM
BetOnline's policy is that they never tell you if a bot got banned or not, so you pretty much just have to cross your fingers and hope for the best

Good job for putting in that effort to get the BBJ players their funds Mike
