As mentioned in another thread, I've been off the site for a couple of months, and I see a few things got added while I was gone.

One is the player tag feature, which is great, although notes are still very much needed as well. Besides that as others have mentioned, fixing the bet slider should really be a big priority. It's a super important part of the game, and is soooo annoying when it resets to min bet once you've finally managed to get it to the amount you really want.

Anyway, I have a couple of questions about the symbols you've used for the player tags. First, what the heck is the one on the top row furthest right, supposed to be? It looks like the knob on a stick shift or something. I honestly have no idea what it could be. Also on the last row, what is the first one farthest right? Maybe a target? Never seen any tags remotely like these on any other poker sites.

Oh, boy, I must be really tired after the Christmas holidays, lol, since evidently I now no longer know my left from my right . Both tags I was questioning are furthest LEFT on the first and third rows.

I have not seen this mentioned anywhere, but does BUP have the same rule as every other online poker site I've played on, that English is the only language to be used at the table?


I hadn't really thought to ask about this until today, when two players at my table were having a conversation in a language other than English. Not trying to be an "ugly American" here, just asking for clarification.

i don't know. i've been envisioning top left as a boxing glove (marking various players as "fighters"); and bottom left as what you see when you look down a rifle scope (marking various players as "targets"). don't know what they are supposed to be, but that works for me.

Yeah, now I can see the first one as a boxing glove, and we agree the second one is probably a rifle scope/target. At least I recognize the other ones, although except for the fish and shark (fin) none of them are really like those usually seen on other online poker sites. Even so, I think they work ok for me too. Definitely way better having tags than not having them.

Hi! Yes, we've got some atypical icons and we did that on purpose. What these symbols mean is intentionally left up to you. Combined with colors it's very robust in my experience (but I'm biased, I designed the system, ha!). I use a symbol to have a specific meaning and the color to indicate the severity. If I've tagged you as a red shark you're very dangerous, for example.

As for your earlier question, we have no admonition against chatting in various languages at the moment.

Question re the January 2019 Promotion.

For the highest number of coins cashed out, will it be the same way it was done a few months ago, i.e. you only cash out once, when you think you have the most chips you're going to collect for the period? Just wanted to make sure.

It's actually cumulative cashouts so cash out as much as you like!

Do the bonus coins you get when cashing out count towards the total cashed out?

That's correct AND your bonus coins for cashing out at higher tiers are counted as well!

Ok, thx. So when will played minutes total display be fixed and leaderboard show the standings? It's January 9th already and the first contest period ends tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure today is the last day and we have no idea if we've reached the 750 minute threshold or the status of the leaderboard. We have no idea if we're on the leaderboard, if we can move up the leaderboard, who's in first. I have no idea if it's worth it for me to put in a bunch of time today so I can make the 750 minutes or make/move up the leaderboard.

Yep. This is terrible.and should be fixed immediately.

Take your list of priorities and put "fixing the promo standings/times" and put that at the very top.

Thank you for fixing the minutes/leaderboard so at least we could see it on the last day of the January Promo Period 1, although by then it was too late to do much of anything about changing our standings.

Please fix it so that we know long before the last day where we are in Promo Period 2. This is very important information, and it's not right that it continues to be a problem for us to get access to it .

I'm not sure what the point is of having a dedicated site forum, if management doesn't monitor it regularly and respond when appropriate. Big Ugly Dean was last seen logged in on 10/16/2018. Big Ugly Greg was here on 01/21/2019 and then again yesterday, 01/31/2019......a gap of ten days.

That's why most of the threads on the forum are complaints and why threads keep getting longer and longer. Management needs to stay current on issues that we bring up, as well as maintaining communication with BUP members through the forum.

Non-communication and seemingly not addressing our concerns, makes all of us "unhappy campers". The "three guys in a garden shed" need to get their act together, quickly. I would definitely recommend hiring a few more employees.

I wouldn't necessarily classify them as "fly by night", but more "fly by the seat of their pants", without enough crew members to support the pilots.

It's hard to really stay anonymous on such a small site, particularly since I've been so active in the forum. Many players who I chat with regularly while playing have sussed it out anyway, so I'll 'fess up. I'm GottaPlayPkr.
