July Promotion - The Big Ugly Race to The Top! July Promotion - The Big Ugly Race to The Top!

07-26-2018 , 03:04 PM

To welcome everyone to Big Ugly Poker, we’re announcing our first ever Big Ugly Giveaway promotion.

Enter our Play and Go tournament and be at the top of the leaderboard at midnight, July 31st (ET between July 31 and August 1) for some big payouts!

As with all our tournaments, there are no deposits to make and no entry fees to pay. Entry and play is always free. If you bust out of the tournament, feel free to enter and try again. You have until the end of this month to build your stack to qualify for these July promotion prizes.

Region 1
Place. Prize - Player - Final Chip Count
  1. 100,000 coins - stevensnell - 27.1K chips
  2. 75,000 coins - threebanger - 14.0K chips
  3. 60,000 coins - phlippmom - 11.9K chips
  4. 50,000 coins - oldman - 8.90K chips
  5. 40,000 coins - mmuss - 7.43K chips
  6. 35,000 coins - ArchNemesis - 3.98K chips
  7. 30,000 coins - Cinderfella - 2.88K chips
  8. 25,000 coins - Egg - 2.71K chips
  9. 20,000 coins - Isildur1 - 2.62K chips
  10. 15,000 coins - Jnandez87 - 1.83K chips

Coins can be redeemed in our store (which won’t be operational until the beta testing phase is complete) for cash and prizes. Please check out our store to see what coins can be redeemed for.

Take note! These are bonuses ATOP all the coins you’ll earn with your play. When the promotion is over the tournament will go on and those chips are still yours.

You can cash out for prizes in our store anytime, BUT this will shrink your stack and slide you down the leaderboard. Probably best to cash out AFTER the promotion ends, but hey, you do you.

Note that Big Ugly developers will be playing our best during this promotion, however we are NOT eligible to win any prizes. Should anyone from Big Ugly place in the top 10, they will be excluded from winning leaderboard prizes and everyone placing below them will move up one spot to fill their place.

Welcome & Good Luck!

(Region 2 cancelled due to negligible participation)

Here's an added bonus promotion to make this month a little more interesting...

I am putting a 25,000 coin bounty on myself for the remainder of July (that's equivalent to $20 in the store). But hurry. This promotion ends when the clock strikes August.

My screen name is Dean and I'm easy to find because I'm sitting way on top of the leaderboard at the moment. So first you've got to catch me... then you've got to bust me!

Come and get me... I double-dog dare you!

Hi Greg & Dean.

I'm cross-posting this question from member "FUJItheFISH" from NVG.

"Will chips earned in the beta phase be usable in the shop during and after the beta phase?"

Absolutely. Whatever you earn now is yours to spend. We will maintain all of the game play and related data when we transition from beta to live.

As of right now threebanger is atop our leader-board (Dean is our tech-guy/fearless leader, so he doesn't count) with 2,000 chips! Other players are off the pace by just a few hundred chips!

Don't forget to try and bust out Dean, there's a huge bounty on his head!

how do u know which region you're in?

How does one see the leaderboard to check standings?

From a desktop browser, click the triangle to the left of your PnG tournament line. It will open up the tournament information window that shows the structure, tables, leaderboard, and payout table.

From a mobile browser, click the (->) button to open said tournament info.

When you're viewing tournament info, you can click on a level to limit tables and players to just the selected level. You can also click on a table to limit players to just the selected table.

Note that we don't yet have an interface to unselect a line once it's selected. You can close and reopen the tournament info to reset. A little hokey, I know, but if everything were perfect, we wouldn't be in beta!

Sorry I haven't played much this weekend. I've been busy working on fixes and getting ready for our August promotions.

My current chip stack doesn't permit me below level 8. Who knows how long that will hold. But I promise to sit down and play some more tomorrow at high stakes tables to give more people a chance to kibash me and to move up on the leaderboard before our current promotion ends.

Btw, if no one busts be this month, I'll up the bounty in August.

The current Region 1 leader is Shredder with a stack of 13,700 chips! There's still time to catch him and claim the top prize in our July Race To The Top!

(Sorry to paint a target on you, Shredder. Stay frosty!)

we're in the waning hours of this promotion and we have a dead heat for first between threebanger and Shredder (in region 1)! There's still a fair bit of time before midnight PST, get in the game and try to get (or stay!) in the money!

Congratulations to the winners of our July promotion! Several of the top players gathered on a Level 11 table to battle it out for the final three hours. The action was awesome.

Congratulations to phlippmom to busted me with 13 min left in the bounty promotion at 11:47pm ET.

I hit my straight on 4th street, and phlippmom hit her nut flush on the river to claim the elusive 25,000 chip bounty. Way to go!

Lots of fun. Free to play. 2+2ers should be jumping on this, nothing to lose.

Hard to believe they'll carry balances over after beta period. Maybe the beta is more to test software/servers and it's not an issue of confidence in the business model.

It is hard to believe, but it’s true!

We’re calling it a beta because it really is. By which I mean we know there will be bugs and hiccups and we want to be honest about that with our users. Were addressing them as fast as we can. We’re also not quite feature complete. Look for table options (sound controls, auto muck, 4 color cards, etc) in the coming week or so. Table messaging soon. Better lobbies. A working store. That kind of thing.

For now you can help us find the flaws and fix them knowing your coins are safe!

hey,

What was the basis of choosing the countries that fall under region 1 and region 2 respectively? I am from India and I was really excited to try this but I am definitely not going to play a Region 2 pool (one of the reasons of me wanting to try this was to be able to play with a global player pool) and would like to know the rationale behind the region based division.

thanks

Nevermind, found the FAQ explanation on the revenue system!

Thanks Moon, we did away with Region 2 for the time being so hopefully you can login now and see the promo's and play with everyone.
