@MPNAlex

As someone who very often tries to convince people to move their action to your network, I am often asked about your fast-fold offerings and have to explain that while you do have blaze tables, they never run above 2nl. I've yet to come up with a plausible explanation for why that is the case. Would you mind sharing yours?

Essentially, Blaze is extremely liquidity sensitive. Unless you have ~80+ players in the pool, it doesn't run at full speed. Unfortunately this means that most smaller sites (us, and others) can't sustain Blaze except at peak times.

Blaze does get good activity when we run promotion, so we will continue to support it with promos from time to time.

I feel like there is so much you could do to attract players to play more cash games.
What would you like to see with regards to loyalty and cash games?

We do have some plans to improve cash games - in terms of new features, promotions, and some fresh ideas. But for the next couple of releases we'll be focused on improving tournaments.

We have a missions promo, March Missions, which starts today: https://mpn.poker/promotions/march-missions/

We are also putting the finishing touches on May's promotion which will be the biggest cash game promotion we've run in quite some time.

The current plan is to phase it out completely around the end of this year. By then, we'll have made many more improvements to the new software and hopefully, will have tempted you over.

Players in Denmark will be the next to make the move, most likely in Q3 this year, as updated regulations are coming into force.

Rakerace/chase or like cashtickets. Anything else than these waste of time freerols that has value of 5. More promotions like this :

04/03 24/03 Win 7,500 Hands of 50NL+ 100 in Cash

I play cash for a reason. I do not like mtts and I do not want to receive any tickets as a reward because it's more like a punishment. I do like the current rb system when it's basically the same with every skin and the highest tier is quite easy to achieve. Perhaps you could run some promotion for blaze that runs for a month? And obv bring back the cannon. That was the nuts.

Re: Official MPN - Microgaming Poker Network Thread

@MPN Alex,
just a suggestion, you should have a one page on the website with a list of all suggestions/client improvements where people can vote for each one.
Following a forum seems disorganized.

My feature request:

. option to buy in to cash table with smaller stack
. hot keys for , check/fold/raise X amount
. table pop up
. graph on Winnings , number of hands , all in ev, rake , rakeback ...
. ability to join specific table ( this is really annoying for cash games )
. Fun feature ( chat / preview last card to come if you fold )
. cash prizes for badges ( otherwise they are useless )

I have delivered quite some feedback, as well as suggestions for the tournament and poker lobbies, but you have ignored that all so far.

I am playing on Coolbet for Mac. I will await until version 40 is rolled out here and once it is, I will test it out and provide you my findings as well as suggestions on how to make this software much better

Re: Official MPN - Microgaming Poker Network Thread

Hello everyone!
Im not really a forum guy but since i play on MPN (RedStar) i would like to say some features i would like to see in the future. I mainly play FIsh Party SNGs, which i think they are the best version of Jackpot SNGs across all poker sites. One feature i want to the new software to have is downloadable hand histories because for me is important to review my game afterwards and the replayer doesnt really help if you want to share hand histories with a coach. Also, a note taking feature. Notes can be deleted after some hours to better protect casual players.

I dont think they will be adding a chat. Hot keys are a great idea!

I would like to point that this is mostly because they are either people who

1) are forced to play with new software (at least mac users and people who use mobile)

or

2) do not know that old software is still available (quite many actually, like 10+ people have asked how can you get old software from me when they've seen me using it)

and/or

3) are casual players who don't bother downloading old software, rather just play less / none if they feel software is too bad.

Current new software is still very much unplayable for most MTT regs I know. No-one is preferring new one, but even I use it occasionally when I have to play on two sites (promo tournaments etc.) at the same time.

exactly. those are 3 very good points made.

I am forced on Mac to use new software. Now I do most of times switch to running Windows on a VM and use the old software there, I am certain not many other Mac users are willing to go through that proces.

Forgot to add couple things
. auto switch table when action required on mobile ( multi tabling )
. Fix the very slow table switch graphic in mobile ( makes multi tabling impossible )
. Add mixed game cash tables for more fun ( 1 round NL , 1 round plo , plo8 ... )

These were all choices that we made with our eyes wide open. We appreciate that not everyone will agree with them, but the above three things add very little value, in our view.

At some point I'll write something more detailed which explains our vision for the software and why we have made some of these decisions.

Could you give me more details on these issues? With regards to the lobby - do you mean the tournament lobby? What multi-tabling problems are you experiencing?

OK thanks. I think you'll like the May promo. And yeah, the Cannon was cool. We'll bring it back in future, only better.

Some good ideas here, most of which are planned. We are not planning to add the ability to join specific tables. Almost nobody uses that feature in the classic client, and those that do are often bumhunters.

Also, we already have cash prizes for many badges (achievements).

Your first post here was on the 19th Feb - it was a great post with some useful info, but surely you don't expect us to have implemented all of it in just three weeks?

Notes are available in version 40, rolling out now. They are cloud-based so sync across devices.

Downloadable hand histories is still a 'maybe' for us. There are a lot of downsides and it is a lot of work to implement. But we do understand why this feature is frequently requested.

It's almost entirely (3) - i.e. casual players who don't care about the features which are only present in classic. Our analysis suggests that casual players have a much better experience in the new client - probably because it is so much simpler.

I get your point about MTTs. We are going to switch focus and give some attention to tournaments next.

This Captcha log in on the old client is actively stopping me playing on your site at times. Only so long I'm gonna waste during a session trying to get it.

1: well, technically my first complaint about that has been through your feedback form in your app. Which I have filled in approximately 5 months ago, and yes, I that timespan I would have expected that to be implemented by now.

2: I meant it more that you haven't commented on it before.

as said, once I have v40 on Coolbet I will take the time to give you a more detailed post on what still should be improved. There's always the chance that v40 is fixing some of the issues I have right now, so I want to wait till that's available for me before I can comment more

Honestly I would personally implement something similar to SNE program that PS used to have and Partypoker just announced. I think people really love it and every poker site that cares about their players should have something similar. It doesnt have to be with 80% RB but I kind of feel that current program is kind of boring at this point.
People love completing challenges. This kind of program gives them more motivation to work even harder.

Thats good to hear you have some plans. Please don`t offer freeroll tickets to cash game players, we don`t care about tournaments. Think of something new, the options are endless imo. Make it more exciting. Like I said - happy hour is always a popular choice, lot of challenges, leaderboards (most hands in a month, biggest winners of the month, most hours played aso), PLO week with little bit of extra RB aso, aso.
The list is endless.

Also +1 to table pop-up and couple of more fields for a bet slider. I personally have 5 different bet sizings.

You've just hit the nail on the head with that comment as, IMO, that's half the problem.

You've gone from what you had (the classic client and all that it offered) to a dumbed down and back to basics version that looks, feels and has the lack of features of a client from the 1980's or whenever poker clients first started coming out.

You say on your website that "Our all-new client will rock your socks off" and you weren't wrong about that, as you knocked my MPN socks off alright. The socks came off and we're thrown into the fire place to be burn't because, I discovered the socks had all of a sudden developed massive holes in them and simply weren't worth wearing any more.

IMO, all the hype put out to players from MPN regarding the new client was and is unjustified. Instead of a superior product, we got an inferior one.

You yourself Alex stated the following: Alex Scott, Head of Product (Network Games) at Microgaming, adds: “This is our biggest and most important poker release, and the culmination of a multi-year strategy to revitalise our product and leapfrog the competition.”

I'm sorry Alex but, from my playing perspective that's a BIG all around fail on that. I don't see a revitalized product when I look at it and I don't view the Prima client as being capable of leapfrogging a small child, let alone the competition in it's current state.

I've downloaded the new client twice now, when it first came out and again a week ago to see what (if any) improvements had been made. Both times I was so disappointed in the product that, I not only closed the client but, then also proceeded to uninstall it and delete everything to do with MPN from my computer. I then went and played elsewhere, on other poker networks and continue to do so. That says it all really...

Thats a terrible idea for a site with no table selection going forward. No one will commit to climbing through the levels when there's no guarantee you won't be forced to be playing a bunch of tables that are literally unbeatable.

Hi Alex!

This is because you guys have no clue what studying means or how ppl study.

First of all having HHs gives the opportunity to share played hands with a community/coach to discuss variable lines and find the most +EV moves. This is just the most common use and to go further players who wanna improve their game need their handhistories to find weak spots in their strategy. With tracker programs we can filter miscellaneous spots in our database to see if played well or not.

Why does this hurt anyone who is not aware of getting better at poker? What downsides do you mean? I can imagine the only downside is the work with it but guess wut: those ppl get salary to work and solve problems

I can imagine how hard to implement HHs if making betsliders/tiling tables/popup tables takes a ton of time

Sorry if i was harsh and i know you r not the one who is struggling to create the sofware. You r here to keep contact and imo u do well but some guys at MPN doing really poorly for sure

Re: Official MPN - Microgaming Poker Network Thread

+1 to above

If a player can change his alias every day which then cannot track them I don't see any downside of allowing HUD compatibility. Adds no value - are u for real? it adds a ton of value for any serious MTT player, and hence they are all using the classic version. Also for reviewing play which anything other then a recreational player does daily to improve. Its a fundamental part of any poker players schedule. Impossible to do in the new client.

99/100 serious players in this day and age use either HM or PT......

I couldn't even see a lobby option or see where i was in the tournament - the lobby itself looks horrible and impossible to navigate. It was using tons of memory and cpu.

All an MTT player needs is a clean crisp simple environment - the classic version has nearly all I would want - Why on earth change things that work? Constantly baffles me how a poker site cannot just listen more to players. Seems like cash players are always favoured imvho.

KISS - keep it stupid simple is the way forward

GL with improvements just my 2pence

Personally , I don't know about MTTs , but there is always a sacrifice between hud/features and playing vs fish. Clearly this platform is geared towards recreational players joining from casino, which is a good thing for cash players who want to play against weak opponents. If you want hud and all the other bling bling then go play on pokerstars , whats the problem ?

This. I get it that people want to dl hands and analyse them but if you want to use huds then just choose basically any other site to play. It's pretty obv they are trying to make it more rec friendly and huds ain't coming back. Just stop moaning about that plz.
