Looks like text search is working though, but with different tournament names that is very little help.
It's working fine for us - can you provide any more information? What poker room are you playing with, what are your filter settings and is this still happening for you?

This is the first report I've seen of this specific issue, but we have had a few similar complaints in the past week which we are trying to figure out. Could you please contact your poker room? I suppose it depends on how you judge 'best'. If you want the largest number of features, I agree we are not getting close to Stars. This is not our goal.
If it's about quality - empathy with the user, UX that follows best practices, learning from the past mistakes of ourselves and others, being ruthlessly efficient and making good priority choices - then I think we have a fighting chance.

I have learned a lot since then, especially about best practice in software development which is something I have studied extensively since. I can now recognise the mistakes (or deviations from best practice) at the other big poker sites, as well as the mistakes I used to make myself.
Poker software in general is way behind the times. Almost nobody is following best practice, almost everybody has huge legacy issues, and many of the largest operators are building on a quicksand of technical debt. We are among the first wave of software providers to recognise this and make a change, and I believe that over the course of time this will give us an advantage.
