And I love that after that exchange, and you insulting me some more (which is all you've done since the first post of yours I replied to), that I would run over to the 888 thread and check on it.

But, you've been acting like such a lunatic in this thread, I decided it might be fun to have a look. I was right. Let's go over your activity there, shall we?

That's your first post in the thread. Note the first sentence, which I've bolded, where you say you need no assistance. And then you go on to complain for the next few days that you're not getting any assistance.

So, to summarize: He calls you a ****ing goof, tells you to go kill yourself, that you appreciate getting it in the arse, and says that you live near **redacted city** and that he'll visit you. Obviously not cool, although sadly most regular online poker players will have seen the same or worse. I don't blame you for reporting it, but I would never have expected the player to get more than a warning or a chat ban. He may have gotten either, or both - you have no idea.

You weren't banned because someone threatened you. They're saying they closed your account for 6 months because "you mentioned that you were suffering emotionally using our services". Sounds like your hyperbole and melodrama bit you in the ass. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were some insult-filled emails that contributed to it. You know, kind of like this:

Here's the thing - whether you like it or not 888, or any poker site, can ban you for whatever reason they like. They're not forced to do business with you. I agree they should have done something about that player, and it's quite likely they did. You ranting and raving about it isn't going to change anything, and why you made such a big deal about me seeing it, I have no idea.

My general advice would be to change your approach, even though I'm pretty confident I'm wasting my time. The way you've comported yourself on our forums, I have no doubt this is the way you deal with companies all the time. And some companies have a lot of tolerance and patience for people who do that, so you've likely ranted and raved in the past and gotten your way, and then mistakenly thought that was because you "stood up to them" or some such nonsense, even though you would have gotten the same thing had you been civil. The problem is, sometimes you'll come into contact with people who don't have time for that ****, and tell you to hit the road. That might be what happened here.

Anyway, we can continue to discuss this civilly if you like, although I don't know that there's a lot to discuss. Or you can continue to rant and rave and insult me and others, although that won't be allowed forever.

And with that, you're done in the 888 thread with this issue. You've had your say, they've heard you, and have made their final decision. Other people don't want the thread derailed with your issue, so there's no need to post about it there any more, please and thank you.

1) You reported a player, and were banned for that and nothing else; or
2) There's more to the story

Given the way you've responded to me and others, and to the 888 rep, and based on other things you've said (you've already emailed 888 20 times, calling "I'll visit you" a death thread several times), I expect there's a lot more to the story of the banning.

And that leads me to my statement that "you've likely ranted and raved in the past and gotten your way". I mean, I can't see any other reason an adult would carry on the way you have on our forums. If it hasn't worked for you in the past, I'm not sure why you'd act like this.

The issue is quite simple. I have a Swedish pokerstars account and I played my last hand around 2010, I think. When I tried to log on a couple of months ago, it turns out I have quite a significant sum of money in the account. Yay!

However, when I wanted to close the account and withdraw the money (I dont live in Sweden anymore so I cannot play on the account anymore), all kinds of info was requested. I provided the info a month ago. But no response. No response to my repeated inquires either. How do I escalate?

As we are now hearing all the time, responses from PS can take weeks these days, apparently because of their relatively recent closures of numbers of Support departments.

Regrettably, you'll simply have to wait until they get round to dealing with your case. As you didn't know you had left money with them, waiting a few weeks for it isn't the worst thing. (Adding to their backlog by sending repeated enquiries is probably the worst thing. )

hello everyone! i apologize for my english but maybe someone can help me out with some information. 3 days ago while i was playing o pokerstars message pop up saying that my account is temporarily restricted pending a routine security investigations.these checks are usually completed within minutes after which time your'e account will either be re-opened with full functionality or you will receive an email explaining required next steps. they didn't send me email with explanation i tried to contact them but they're not replaying to my emails. is this a normal thing for pokerstars to do?

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until their short-staffed CSD get round to writing to you. Sending more e-mails is one of the worst things to do, in the circumstances.

Hopefully, you should receive more information from them within about two weeks.
