If you want to do this without fear of losing your funds, always, always, always email the site with these questions. If your account gets locked later, you have an email from the site to show them they said it was OK. Showing them that someone on the a forum said it would be OK isn't going to help much.

But of course when people are able to tell you it isn't possible, as a dewd did here, that's always helpful.

For sure I know u need to prepare these things before u do them.. but actually I just wanted to know if u are able to access PP from a country where they have no licence from an account legally opened in a country where they do have a licence or they just block access from these unregulated countries..but yet again there s vpn of course I guess that solves it..

It may "solve" it from the pov that you may find you can play for a while, but if they discover that is what you are doing, they will almost certainly close your account and confiscate your funds for deliberate evasion of their T&C. And from reading numbers of your latest posts, you probably wouldn't like that.

Good luck with that. I had substantial discussion about this with Colette re the WPT series. You can NOT do on PP what GG allows for WSOP. PP will know you are on a VPN, every site knows when you are. The odds of Party Poker catching it is about 99.9999%. They specifically look for this stuff.

Since about 10 hours ago, whenever I go into Coinbase and try to set up an address to recieve money, I get this message:

"An error occurred
Bitcoin SV address generation is temporarily disabled."

It's about 5:15 ET now and I thought if it was due to traffic, it would have ended by now. Is anybody else having Coinbase problems? Has anybody gotten this error message in the past?

Yet again thanks for reply and info..

So if I understand correctly if I am an Englishman with a valid, legally opened account with PP I cannot travel and play from lets say Armenia or Belarus or whatever right?? I will not be able to access my account and play from a non regulated PP country?? This is actually my question.. I know the rest is a big no go with vpn s and opening accounts from other countries is a big pain in the a hole..

PartyPoker is clear. You must be a legal resident, not visiting, in a location that is allowed on their site. If I visit the UK as an American, I cannot play. If you visit America from the UK, you cannot play.

Other sites allow visitors to play in allowed nations. PP is strict and clear.

My wife told me recently that she'd like to learn poker to help her get better at strategic thinking. She has zero interest in playing for money.

Any recommendations for a mobile site that we can play some poker together on? She's already tried Pokerstars and hated the interface. Thanks!

I'm currently considering a move and wanted some advice on the best states within the US for online poker. Obviously the best places are outside the US but I am looking to stay within the US for the time being as immigration isn't really in the cards right now, and I'm looking to move in the very near future.

Any advice on which places would best suit me would be greatly appreciated.

My background:
I'm 25 and was about to start working as an Actuary in California but lost my job offer due to COVID and haven't had any further luck since. I recently got into online poker and fell in love with the game. Within a couple months I was a strong winner at 2NL on ACR(20bb+/100 over 10k-20k hands) and have recently moved up to 5NL and 10NL and am doing well there so far too.

My current living situation is driving me insane and is the main driver behind me moving. I am looking to buy a house to escape shared living arrangements for good. I have about $100k USD saved up and am looking to make the plunge on a ~$50k-$80k house. I am single and not looking for a family anytime soon.

I have my eye on Pennsylvania right now as it offers better prospects than California and the other regulated states(NJ, DE, NV) in terms of Actuarial opportunities, online Poker, and affordable housing. I'm not into night life or big cities and am just looking for a quiet place to pursue Poker and continue my Actuarial studies when things hopefully start opening up again.

Please let me know what you guys think and if you have any other suggestions.

Grabbed a screenshot of my last 10k hands at ACR $2NL, mostly 4-tabling.

I'd definitely pick a place where I would like to live, first - then have a look at the poker options to see if they also suited me.

If not, I'd rinse and repeat.

Good point. I did approach it this way first. Pennsylvania was among the top states I narrowed it down to as well as being regulated.

I've lived in California my whole life and have hated every second of it, so it's really only up from here. Like I said, my current living situation is the main driver behind me moving and I'm aware beating 2NL online isn't a reason in itself to pack up and move cross-country.

I don't have a lot keeping me here anymore so I'm prepared to leave, but I don't know everything so I wanted to share my thoughts and hear other people's opinions/suggestions.

This is a downpayment? Or, you're looking to buy outright in cash?

$50k-$80k being the final price of the home. That as a downpayment in Pennsylvania would be way more house than I am looking for.

Hi I didnt find a thread about this theme, if theres is one please write here and mods can close this one

On GG the staking for multi flight events uses the ASMU*MARKUP formula

What is the ideal number to buy pieces not considering the player?

I see many bargains people selling for 2 or 3, I think everything under 5 is excelent investment, all players under 5 (ASMU*MARKUP) get instantly sold out

There are some places in PA you can get condos for these prices in neighborhoods with low crime. Townhomes are six figures.

Hi,

I am considering to deposit on stars to start with nl10 zoom. What I just saw let me be critical about this: Paying 12bb/100 hands rake. So that means that I at least have to win 13bb/100 hands to be winning player on nl10?

I'm staying away from shared housing moving forward. I've had enough bad experiences with it from both roommates and neighbors, and I just generally just prefer being alone and having my own space. People and their bullshit seems to have multiplied during these times and I don't want to drop half my net-worth to listen to domestic violence all day etc.

Definitely not looking for any shared long-term housing like a condo, really just looking for a small detached house. I've seen quite a few house listings that are well within my budget even near the larger cities. I actually prefer more rural areas that have a 'drive into town' and these are even lower.

Yeah, I've been looking into this possibility as well especially given the unique climate we're in right now. I'm not as tuned into markets as I used to be but there's always the obvious argument that it could go either way for a myriad of reasons, even when all the traditional indicators say it shouldn't (see: the US stock market right now).

In other words I could be waiting for something that might not come while my sanity and rent vanishes into the abyss. If I were currently under more favorable living conditions I'd certainly lean towards waiting, but as it stands I'm a little more impulsive/impatient.

On top of that with it being a cheaper house at 50-70% of my net worth purchased to live in for the foreseeable future and not as a financial instrument, even something as drastic as +/- 20% in price isn't going to make or break me. Waiting even 6 months is going to cost me $8400 in rent alone with 100% certainty(love CA).

this way you gather info on diff areas and you maintain financial flexibility for the near/medium term
This is a good idea, I was thinking of doing something close to this on a shorter timescale with Airbnbs/Extended Stays or something of the sort. I don't think I like the idea of doing it longer term though. I know the kind of areas I like living in(rural/suburb/city etc.) and have already spent a lot of time in each, so I think I can assess it pretty quickly without going so far as renting for months to check it out.

Frankly, I'm really tired of moving and having every place be so damn temporary. I spent all my college years and the few years after moving a lot, at least once a year, only one of which wasn't out of necessity(worst neighbors I've ever had). I'm really aching to finally have a place that actually feels like home.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, this gave me some things to look into.
