I was wondering if pokersites would accept like airbnb adresses. i mean like going to a country (F.E. argentinia, mexico, malta, vietnam, taiwan, what ever country) and then use the airbnb as verification. Is that possible or do they need more documents?

Not played reg on Stars for years so the new chests format is unfamiliar.
Pottered my way through silver 3 weeks ago then levelled up to gold.
It told me that to earn a gold chest I needed to get 48,500 points!! 1 chest :/
The hike to 48,500 seemed massive and I've just finished and earned the chest
but the new figure for my next chest is only 13,000 points.
Can anyone explain the 48,500 points needed for last chest?

i must be missing something in yr reply as these forums usually pretty solid. The good it will do will be to confirm how the bonus system works at PS. To confirm i wasn't diddled out of 3 extra gold chests that maybe should be mine at $5-$100 each. I asked here as there's lots of knowledge and always someone ready to help. Maybe it would be easier than trying to get answers from PS. Which is what I'll do now. Thanks for yr input

You missed the first line I wrote, which was, "If you really want to know, you'll need to ask PS."

There have been numerous posts made about the numbers of points needed suddenly changing and/or becoming high. Maybe you could try searching for and reading them to see if anyone ever found out why it was the case; but I don't think anyone did. I'd think that PS would have a full and detailed explanation of how their bonus system works posted on their site.

I'm a bit puzzled - who do you think could have diddled you out of a reward PS offered to give you if you decided to try to earn some number of points, and succeeded?

it was only after earning 48500 pts for gold chest that it gave me the next target for the next gold chest of 13000. i had assumed 48500 was the norm... albeit very large.

I was banned on Pokerstars a long time ago (longer than this unused account is old, easily 15+ years ago) and wrote them several times over the years asking if they'd reconsider. But I must have screwed something on the legal side because they said there's nothing they can do and (basically) told me to **** off multiple times.

But recently I just tried to braindead recreate another account with the same email address, same name and everything. And it actually worked. I deposited some money, made a significant chunk in one of the Scoops recently, and cashed it out. They didn't even ask for identification like they used to for larger withdrawals, which is odd since their claimed reason was always that this is legally required of them. Though this may be a temporary Covid thing.

The last time I tried to play again was many years ago. It's possible they had to delete my old account data when the GDPR thing went through and have no way of telling who I am(since I'm in EU), though it may also be completely unrelated. It may also be related to the merger with that other company some time ago.

I tried to withdraw my funds from Pokerstars on 3 May (EUR607.97). I found out one day later that the withdrawal had been rejected because I needed to get verified. So I sent them my documents on 4 May. Since then I got no reply to any emails, not even a confirmation that they received my documents. I wrote a message on Twitter one week ago (23 May) to which I got back a standard reply, asking for my screenname. I sent them my SN, but they didn't answer any more. Basically they are keeping my money locked away without even communicating what is going on. I guess I will wait for some more weeks, although I was counting on the money. I feel a bit powerless in this situation. On 3 other poker sites I registered at verification was done within 1-2 days.

Here is another experience I had with Pokerstars which makes me feel uneasy about them. On 1 April (after I won a couple hundred dollars at micros) they suspended my account saying that it is is under review for possible TOS violations (they did not specify what I was accused of). I had to answer more than 20 questions, here just the most absurd ones:

- Where did you learn how to play poker? Please also briefly explain your playing style.
- Do you play live poker? If yes, please provide us with details.
- Do you use charts or any other reference material to assist your play? If so, please provide us with details and complete copies of them.
- Deliberate changes in strategy or playing style implemented in our games;
- Sites other than Stars where you've been playing, and your game selection there;
- Software, tools, and methods used to study;

I answered all their questions in detail and they found no wrongdoing, so after I had written back that I read the TOS and I agree to it (another short round of pointless humiliation, instead of apologizing for wrongfully accusing one of their customers), they reinstantiated my account.

It's just shocking how shady and unprofessional Pokerstars has become, I remember it used to be the most trustworthy site out there (I got back to online poker after a 10 year hiatus this January).

OK actually they sent an email on 31 May which I missed. Problem still not resolved though because I live in a shared apartment so I don't have utility bills on my name and they don't seem to accept an official German residence document (Anmeldebescheinigung). But I will not bore you guys with this anymore, I will probably find a way...

bookmaker.eu's poker runs on the fab poker network, i'm thinking about playing there or betonline.ag, any reccomendations? i'm unsure what networks they are on and if they work with holdem manager, i'd like to keep track easily.
