yes. in my case, my .eu account works, but .es account is still frozen.

Both of my accounts were reopened today after two weeks of waiting and no explanation of why they were frozen. Probably a software glitch? I got no reply from .es support, but .eu support did the job.

I'm wondering if anyone has similar experiences/ the answer to the following:

I'm a Dutch citizen. As a European I'm allowed to play on Pokerstars.ES.
The .ES client is for Spain and France players, but everyone from the EU can make an account and play on it.

Now, I have no problems playing from the Netherlands where I live.
However, next month I'll be going on vacation to France and would still like to play.

However, I contacted live support, and they told me it ISN'T possible for me to play on Pokerstars.ES when I'm physically in France.

This sounds super weird to me, since the .ES client is accessible for players in Europe and is specifically targeting ES and FR players.

Can someone confirm it is actually not possible to play on the .ES client as a Dutch citizen on vacation in France? (ATM I have a working account when playing from the Netherlands).
It wouldn't be the first time support has given me wrong info.

I think your comment about them targeting FR players is wrong.

I think that PokerStars are probably right here, but if you don't even trust them enough to answer your question accurately, why would you trust them enough to play poker there?

I do trust their answers, and think they're likely to be accurate here - but if you don't, then maybe you should consider where you're coming from?

I'm asking anonymous strangers for the same reason I'm looking up opinions through online reviews about products or services when I'm considering getting something. I dont see what's wrong with asking if someone has experience with my scenario and can either confirm or deny the answer of the chat agent.

I just think it is really strange that .es and .fr has been merged, and is open to all Europeans. Except when you are in France as a European, the country of which the client has been merged (like half of the people on the client are french). I'm just trying to get answers here. I asked the chat agent why it isn't possible, and only got the repeating answer that it isn't possible. That's why I'm hoping someone on 2p2 will have an answer.

I don't think there's anything especially wrong with asking other people about their experiences here, but when it comes to potentially risking your account by playing in another country, your best course of action is to get written permission from the site. If somebody here says it's fine for you to play in a different country, and then the site closes your account for violating the rules, you then won't be able to provide valid proof that you were told you could. You're not risking your Amazon account when you rely on the opinions of others about whether to buy that new computer monitor or not.

French law requires that when you're in France, you play on the French regulated site (technically, I think they require that PokerStars only allow players in France to play on the .FR site, but the effect is the same).

As one of the early regulated jurisdictions (like .IT) I imagine that they are stricter on this issue than elsewhere, where sites probably don't care if you're a visitor visiting a latter country like Greece - they'll let you play on your "home" site when you're visiting.

Are there any US players currently in a strong cash NL study group that would be interested in another member?
